How to Get the BT’s Best Friend Trophy
In order to capture a BT, players will first need the EX Capture Grenade. TheEX Capture Grenade is unlocked as part of Order No. 33once playersconnectthe Metagenomicistto the Chiral Network. Once players have done so, the EX Capture Grenade can be crafted at any prepper station for 120 Chiral Crystals, 30 Resin, and 25 Special Alloy. TheEX Capture Grenade has a special effect that only works for large BTs, whereby throwing it in the mouth of the large BT produces a BT crystal.
Once players have an EX Capture Grenade, they can head to any BT region, noted by timefall, and then get dragged into thedepths of the tar by other BTs. Once players are fighting a Catcher, the larger BT enemy, they can begin to weaken it with their weapons.Once the large BT is weak enough to be on critical health, noted by the red health bar, players will want tothrow an EX Capture Grenade into its mouth, which will crystallize the BT, leaving a White Chiral Crystal in its place (which can be picked up). Once the BT has been captured, the BT’s Best Friend trophy will pop.
Capturing BTs allows players to summon them to aid in a fight, but only in BT areas. Players can only capture large BTs like Catchers, so don’t use grenades on other variants of BTs.
