How to Find Animals in Death Stranding 2

What Animals are in Death Stranding 2?

Players will be able to find wild animals inDeath Stranding 2after the completion of Order 15. Order 15 is assigned to players after they have connected the Rainbow Valley to the Chiral Network and met with Rainy. After which, they can head to the DHV Magellan’s order terminal to receive Order 15: Deliver the Test Subject Kangaroo to the Animal Shelter. This order will have players find a wild kangaroo in the midst of a bushfire and transport it to the Animal Shelter, which will then be connected to the Chiral Network.

After Order 15, Australia will be filled with animals that players can find. Here’s a list of the animals that players can collect after Order 15 has been completed:

Players can deliver each of these animals to the Animal Shelter. In order to find animals, players will need to detect them with the scanner by tapping L1. Animals are not displayed as cargo, so players will have to look closely at the screen to look for blue silhouettes that highlight wild animals. Wild animals do not have set spawns and can often be found all over Australia, simply roaming the land. Since this is Australia, players can expect hopping kangaroos and koalas clinging to trees for a nap, so try to keep an eye on the ground and the tree line as you search for these animals.

How to Capture Animals in Death Stranding 2

Once players have located a wild animal, they can capture them by approaching it and hitting the Square button, which will see Sam place the animal in an Animal Carrier. This essentially converts the animal into cargo, but it’s far more fragile than other pieces of cargo, so players will want to be careful when transporting them. Animals can be transported on Sam’s back or in a vehicle, but they cannot be transported throughfast travel with the DHV Magellan. Once captured, players can only take the wild animal to the Animal Shelter to receive likes and free the animal on the reservation, where players will be able to see it roam.

There are a few ways that players can go about capturing wild animals. Firstly, they could just approach it with a sprint and spam the Square button so Sam can capture it by surprise. Alternatively, players can shoot the wild animal with a rubber bullet and othernon-lethal weaponsto knock out the animal so that it’s easier to transport. Wild animals are naturally skittish and wary of humans, so if players approach without sneaking, then the animal will attempt to flee.

Once players deliver their first wild animal to the Animal Shelter, they will receive the Creature Comforter trophy, which is a bronze rank trophy.

Can You Pet the Animals in Death Stranding 2?

Can You Kill Animals in Death Stranding 2?

Captured animals will roam the Animal Sanctuary, but they are not interested in getting pets and head scratches. Players cannot pet the animals, but they can give them likes. Approaching animals might see them run away as they are rather skittish, but players can learn a few things about them from the SSS tab, and there’s even a narration so players can learn more about them.

Since it’s bound to come up, it’s worth mentioning that players can kill animals, even though they really shouldn’t. Players can use weapons on animals, and they can also use their vehicles to run them over and kill them. While a dead wild animal will not become a BT andcause a voidout, it will cause Sam to loseover 100 likes, and it’s generally just an immoral thing to do, so try to rescue the little critters instead.
