Evolutions were added toClash Royalein June 2023, and they have become a huge part of the game since then. Right now,there are more than 30 evolutions, and some of them are seriously overpowered. A few even brought back old cards like the Witch that no one really used before.
If you’re new toClash Royale, evolutions might seem a bit confusing at first. That’s totally normal, especially since players don’t get access to them right away. So, how do you unlock and use card evolutions inClash Royale? This guide breaks it all down for you.
How to Unlock Card Evolutions in Clash Royale
Players will need to reachKing Level sevento unlock card evolutions.You can level upby upgrading your cards and donating them to your clanmates. attempt to check the shop every day. The game adds different cards there daily, and you can use gold to buy them.
How to Get Free Evolution Shards in Clash Royale
To evolve aClash Royalecard, players are going to needsix Evolution Shards. You can buy them with real money, but if you want to minimize your spending, there are free ways too. Make sure to participate in every season’sPass Royale. As you progress, you will earn Evolution Shards, crates, and many other rewards. You also get crates from winning matches, and sometimes those crates contain shards too.
Every card needs the same number of shards to evolve, no matter how much elixir it costs.
How to Activate and Use Evolutions in Clash Royale
Now that you’ve collected six Evolution Shards, it’s time to activate an evolution.From your main screen, head over to theCards menu. Then, click onCollection, and then choose the third option:Magic Items(it’s right next to the ‘Emotes’ option).
Here, scroll down to find theWild Shard. It’s the last item on the list. Tap ‘Use,’ and then pick the card you want to evolve.
Fans will only see cards that have evolved versions available.
Once you’ve evolved a card, you will need to put it in your deck. Make sure toplace it in one of the first two slots. Those are the only ones that work for evolutions. And yes, keep in mind that you canonly use two evo cardsin a match.
