According to a recent video clip leaked from the set ofHouse of the Dragonseason 3, the returning fantasy series could see even more changes to Daemon Targaryen’s story that weren’t in George R.R. Martin’s books. As fans prepare for their highly anticipated return to Westeros, especially with how things were left at the end ofHouse of the DragonSeason 2’s cliffhanger that saw Rhaenyra compromise a deal with Alicent to end the war in the hopes that conflict wouldn’t break out with Aemond, season 3 is really starting to heat up.

The long-awaitedGame of Thronesprequel season two arrived in June last year and was greenlit for a third and fourth season. Based on George R.R. Martin’s novelFire & Blood,House of the Dragonfocuses on the fall of the House Targaryen as the clan descends into a huge civil war where families are broken apart by greed and betrayal. Season three will follow on from the epic tale that theHouse of the Dragonseason 2 finaleleft off, but now, the stakes are even higher as the Targaryen dynasty will continue to reign, by fire and by blood.

House of the Dragon Season 3 Leak Sees Daemon Targaryen and Prince Daeron’s Interaction

First spotted byScreenRant, a new set video leaked by a fan account ofHouse of the Dragonseason 3 apparently shows renowned warrior and dragonrider Daemon Targaryen meeting with Ormund Hightower and also Prince Daeron Targaryen, who is the youngest son ofKing Viserys and Alicent Hightower.Although the video isn’t official and should not be classed as such, as there’s no current way to prove who or what is happening in the clip until HBO states otherwise, it does seem to display the Hightower infantry, which could be the First Battle of Tumbleton.

If this is the case, Daemon’s presence there would be a big change from theFire & Bloodbook, asDaemon and Prince Daerondo not directly meet in the novel; Daemon is focused on his conflict with Aemond and securing the Iron Throne for his wife, Rhaenyra, while Daeron is mainly involved with Lord Ormund Hightower’s forces during the Dance of the Dragons. Although Prince Daeron hasn’t appeared throughoutHouse of the Dragon, only mentioned in passing throughout its two seasons, he is set to appear in season 3.

It also hasn’t been revealed who will playDaeron Targaryen inHouse of the Dragonwhen the show returns, with some rumors suggesting that Daeron could be played by Charlie Gordon, the first trans man to play a main character in a series from theGame of Thronesuniverse, but whatever the facts may be, this is exciting news for fans who have been wondering when the third son of King Viserys Targaryen and Alicent Hightower will show up.

A release date for the third season ofHouse of the Dragonhasn’t yet been announced, but it’s likely fans won’t see new episodes until the summer of 2026.
