For the upcoming Version 3.5 update,Honkai: Star Railwill release Cerydraand Hysilens as playable characters, who could shift the game’s meta based on how they interact with other units. The update is also expected to release 5-star rerun characters, but HoYoverse has yet to confirm who they are.
In a recentreport by leaker Sakura Haven,Honkai: Star RailVersion 3.5 will reportedly bring back Kafka and Silver Wolf as the 5-star rerun characters. According to the leak, Hysilens and Kafka could be part of the first phase of the update, while Cerydra and Silver Wolf could be in the second phase. Usually,Honkai: Star Railrerun characters complement the limited 5-star units. With Hysilens and Kafka both being Nihility characters, they could mesh well with their damage over time (DOT) attacks. Plus, withHonkai: Star Railbuffing Kafka’s abilities, she could be a strong companion for Hysilens. Meanwhile, Cerydra reportedly has the ability to increase units' RES-PEN attacks, which would be perfect for Silver Wolf’s debuffs.
Meanwhile, the reaction amongHonkai: Star Railfans about the rumored Version 3.5 characters has been mixed. Many expressed that they wanted Rappa, Black Swan, or Mydei to come back, so they might skip pulling for the update’s rerun banners if the leak is accurate.
