28 Years Later Reportedly Gets a July Streaming Date

According toWhen to Stream,28 Years Lateris reported to debut on digital streaming via premium video on demand on Tuesday, July 29.However, at this time, the film’s studio, Sony Pictures Entertainment, has not officially announced or confirmed the release date, but if this is indeed true, for those eager to watch Boyle’s impressive horror movie at home, this is certainly a big win, especially as the film only released on 20 June. This also hopefully means that a physical release isn’t too far away either, since the film did pretty well, and seeing all of those infected up close and in 4K is sure to be an eye-opening experience (and no, we aren’t justthinking about that naked zombie either).

Before28 Years Laterwas released last month, it had sold more pre-sale tickets during its 24 hours of advanced ticket sales than other big horror films likeSinners,Final Destination Bloodlines,andNosferatu,making the zombie film the best horror ticket pre-seller in 2025. Fast-forward a couple of weeks after the film was released in cinemas,28 Years Latergrossed $103 million in its first week, which includes $100 million worldwide and $50 million domestically.

Boyle’s movie further reached an impressive score on Rotten Tomatoes from critics, who were delighted with the horror film, giving it a 93% score at the time. However, it has since seen a drop in its score, and that might likely be down to itsvery strange ending that left many fans wondering what was going on.
