Arrowhead Game Studios has revealedHelldivers 2update 01.003.200, bringing a bunch of balance adjustments, along with a new functionality for the CQC-1 One True Flag, which players can now plant directly into enemies. The update also introduces buffs and nerfs to weapons, enemies, and stratagems, along with several fixes in different areas ofHelldivers 2.
Helldivers 2’s unique live service approachhas kept the game fun and relevant for all players (not just premium ones) through plenty of content updates. Arrowhead’s massively popular third-person shooter marked a bold evolution for the franchise, moving away from the top-down perspective of the firstHelldiverto deliver a much more graphically and mechanically ambitious title. From day one, the developer has been committed to constantly working on the game to keep improving every aspect of it and steadily introducing new enemies, missions, weapons, cosmetics, and a wealth of other features as well. Although there were a few bumps in the road,Helldivers 2pulled through, and its popularity endures. Now, Arrowhead is bringing more updates to the game.
Through a Steam blog post and a YouTube video, Arrowhead has revealed and discussed what’s new for players inHelldivers 2’s patch 01.003.200. One of the highlights of the update involves the CQC-1 One True Flag introduced inHelldivers 2’s Masters of Ceremony Warbond, which can now be planted into dead or alive enemies, “ensuring the eternal colors of Super Earth are never tainted,” the patch notes read.
The update now also makes it slightly easier for Helldivers to regain control after ragdolling, reducing the time from 0.8 to 0.5 seconds. Moreover, players will have to be more careful now with chest injuries, as Arrowhead has significantly increased bleed damage from 1 to 10. A few ofHelldivers 2’s primary weaponshave undergone some balance adjustments as well, including buffs for the AR-32 Pacifier, SMG-72 Pummeler, ARC-12 Blitzer, R-2124 Constitution, and the R-2 Amendment. Some adjustments have also been rolled out for Sidearms, Throwables, Stratagems, and Boosters.
Helldivers 2’s enemies have also seen some buffs and nerfs. Following patch 01.003.200, players can now set Large to Massive-sized enemies on fire more easily.Helldivers 2’s TerminidWarriors will demand a bit more from players who want to explode the enemy’s body without leaving a corpse behind, increasing the damage needed from 500 to 750. Additionally, the Automaton Scout Strider’s leg armor has been increased, while the Illuminates’ Overseer variants’ unarmored torso health zone has been decreased.
There are also a few adjustments for missions, along with a number of miscellaneous fixes detailed in the patch notes. As Arrowhead continues to improveHelldivers 2, players can look forward to a more polished experience, along with enhancements to thematic features like the Stratagem Flag’s new functionality.
