AHelldivers 2YouTuber has revealed that developer Arrowhead Game Studios is preparing to fix an annoying mechanic in due course, and the community is relieved to hear the good news.Helldivers 2was first launched in February 2024, and the co-op shooter gained immediate success thanks to its high-octane combat action and its satirical comedy. As a direct sequel to the 2015 title of the same name, the shooter is set during the 22nd century and revolves around a band of titular shock troops tasked with protecting humanity from various alien threats.
Arrowhead recently deployed a newHelldivers 2update for June, which included the release of a Commemorative Cape, honoring the defense of Super Earth and representing the gratitude citizens have for Helldivers’ sacrifice. The update also included balance adjustments to Leviathans and Mega Shrieker nests, alongside changes to Stratagems, weapons, enemies, and missions.
Posted on YouTube by Cloud Plays, the content creator confirmed Arrowhead was working on a stim delay fix after several issues arose, similar to anotherHelldivers 2fix implemented to thwart an annoying Autocannon reload bug. Cloud Plays made a video covering Arrowhead community manager miitchimus’ reply to the creator’s previous video, reacting to update 01.003.103. Cloud Plays called out the stim delay as “frustrating” and noted it wasn’t just a bug. “One of the devs is looking into it after your video,” the community manager responded.
Helldivers 2 Dev Confirms Stim Delay Issue Is Being Looked Into
Helldivers 2’s P-11 Stim Pistolwent down a treat with fans last year, and they were relieved to hear that stims were being addressed currently. Several YouTube users commented on Cloud Plays' video to express their relief, with one person saying that the issue was “boiling my blood to a new heat level,” and others shared separate issues they were experiencing, such as being unable to run in the first game. Furthermore, some fans took Arrowhead’s reply and translated it into, “We’re gonna ignore it for a good long while.”
Looking at the shooter’s future, a recentHelldivers 2leak teased Arrowhead was possibly preparing a new enemy. The adversary is said to be called the Observer, part of the Illuminate alien race, and resembles the appearance of a Watcher. While the leak suggested the enemy could be scrapped at a later date, to temper players’ expectations, some info did reveal the Observer would supposedly shoot lasers.
