With Nod-Krai set to open its doors on June 24, 2025,Genshin Impacthas slowly begun to unveil major details about the upcoming region – revealing characters, concept art, and teasing its overarching storyline. While the Song of the Welkin Moon will last a full year, a sizable chunk of Nod-Krai will already be available in Version 6.0.
The introductory patch will also see the debut ofthree newGenshin Impactcharacters, each offering a different take on Lunar Reactions, which is intended to be the main combat mechanic of Nod-Krai. However, these characters also individually belong to one of the major factions of Nod-Krai. Flins is part of the Lightkeepers, the ancient defenders of Nod-Krai. Lauma is a Frostmoon Scion, a devotee of the Moon Goddess. Lastly, players will also get to meet Aino, the young savant from the Clink-Clank Krumkake Craftshop.
to give fans a glimpse of Nod-Krai, HoYoverse released anew web event forGenshin Impact, highlighting five major locations from the upcoming region. By completing the web event, players can not only learn -Krai inGenshin Impact, but also earn 40 Primogems after linking their account with the website. Genshin Impact: Nod-Krai Map
While it remains to be seen if the map only shows the playable areas from Version 6.0, it does seem to be the most logical assumption based on size and scope. The five locations highlighted on the map are: Paha Island, Blue Amber Lake, Nasha Town, Lempo Isle, and Hiisi Island. Much like Inazuma, Nod-Krai appears to primarily be an archipelago, though its major landmasses are more closely huddled together. It is currently unclear how Nod-Krai connects to the other nations of Teyvat, but it does seem to be wedged between Fontaine, Sumeru, andNatlan inGenshin Impact.
It’s too early to tell which map expansions the developers have in mind for Nod-Krai, but given the connection between Hyperborea and the Frostmoon Scions, the Traveler and Paimon may find themselves exploring another ancient civilization in the near future. While thenewGenshin Impacttrailermostly focused on Nasha Town, it is curious that not even the web event revealed the location of the Lightkeepers. Players can expect to see more information once beta testing for Version 6.0 begins on July 23, 2025.
