During the summer 2025 Sony State of Play presentation, the fighting game community witnessed the surprise announcement ofMortal Kombat: Legacy Kollection. Developed by Digital Eclipse and published by Atari,Mortal Kombat: Legacy Kollectionis described as “The ultimate arcade fighting kollection”, featuring several arcade, console, and handheld iterations of theMortal Kombatseries. While not every game in or the exact release date of theLegacy Kollectionhas been revealed yet, many fighters have locked in appearances in theKollectionbased on which games are already confirmed to be included in the compilation.

Not every game included in theKollectionis restricted to just their arcade and home console forms, as gamers will be able to access the Game Boy, Game Gear, and Game Boy Advance versions of several titles, such asMortal Kombat,Mortal Kombat 2,Deadly Alliance, andTournament Edition.
