FromSoftware has released a newElden Ring Nightreignupdate for July 2025, introducing several bug fixes and adding a setting that allows players to see the Weapon Type in each Armament Information menu. Unfortunately forElden Ring Nightreignplayers, patch 1.01.4 doesn’t address any of the features they’ve been requesting, but it does polish the game for PS4, PS5, Xbox One, Xbox Series X|S, and PC.
Elden Ring Nightreignis a standalone roguelike action RPG designed for up to three-player co-op.Nightreignalso features a solo mode, though it’s been a little controversial due to its questionable matchmaking. Unlike the originalElden Ring, this game focuses on short, replayable runs called Expeditions that span three in-game days, where players choose from eight “Nightfarers” and must face procedurally generated zones filled with enemies.Nightreign’s reception has been generally positive, though random matchmaking and accessibility are still sticking points among fans. Since its release, FromSoftware has been rolling out patches to try to address some of these issues, while others remain unresolved. Now, the developer is pushing yet another update to continue improvingNightreign.
Nightreignversion 1.01.4 adds a small but important UI change that allows players to quickly see the Weapon Type in each Armament Information menu. FromSoftware continues addressingElden Ring Nightreign’s persistent matchmaking issues—this time introducing a fix for a bug that caused matchmaking to fail after two players joined and left the team at the same time.
Additionally, the patch fixes a bug where players could unintentionally revive duringElden Ring Nightreign’s third-day boss fightafter leaving and reloading from the title screen. The developer also addressed an issue where the background music in the Recluse Remembrance wasn’t playing correctly, along with several other bugs, including certain achievements not being awarded to players who earned them.
Unfortunately for players, this update doesn’t bring Duos mode—a feature fans have been requesting since the game’s release and that has prompted many to install anElden Ring Nightreignmod adding a Duos option. Despite some setbacks the game has suffered,Nightreignis a smash hit, selling over 3.5 million copies, and FromSoftware has promised to continue releasing updates in the future.
FromSoftware has also introduced activities such as the first Everdark Sovereign boss, Gaping Jaw, on June 19, which caused a major player count spike for the game. Although fans are still waiting for some important improvements, the developer is steadily making theElden Ring Nightreignexperience better.
