Phase Two
Lightning Discharge
Adel starts to vibrate with lightning around itself, then causes a large AOE that rapidly deals damage to any player inside the area.
Purple Grab
Adel raises its head, followed by an audio cue and a purple animation that indicates an incoming jaw grab. The boss can perform the grab twice in quick succession.
Roaring Tantrum
The boss roars twice, stunning Nightfarers. It also marks one player, on whom it will perform the subsequent attacks and grabs.
Lightning Burrow Slam
Adel slams its head into the ground, causing lightning to spread out in multiple directions.
Diving Storm
The boss leaps up into the air, crashes down onto the ground, and unleashes a lightning blast all around it.
Phase Three
Cyclone Frenzy
Adel starts to dart around the arena, then lands on the ground, releasing a shockwave and changing its appearance. It starts to dart around once more, this time forming a cyclone inside the arena.
Shocking Bite
The boss tries to bite the player, creating a small shockwave around its jaw that deals lightning damage.
Underground Dive
Adel goes underground, then after a few seconds, emerges from the ground.
Everdark Sovereign Gaping Jaw Weaknesses
Similar to the normal expedition withAdel, Baron of Night, you must makeuse of Poison, Frost, Sleep, or Rot, as normal elemental damage is either neutral or the boss is resistant to it. One of the most important changes in the Everdark Sovereign version of the boss is thatPoison no longer makes the boss vomit out the toxinsit has digested, giving you extra time to get multiple hits in.
Poison will now only deal tick damage, but it can proc quickly because of the boss’s low resistance to it. Even so,this makes it so that you should prioritize getting Frost over Poison, because not only does it do a chunk of damage, but it also lowers Adel’s damage absorption by 20%.

For the lightning burrow slams the boss performs throughout the fight, it is best to dodge the slam if you are in the radius and jump up to avoid the lightning damage from the explosion.
