EA Sports recently revealed that Jude Bellingham and Jamal Musiala will be featured on the Standard Edition cover ofEA Sports FC 26. Scheduled to be released on September 26,EA Sports FC 26will be the latest installment of the popular soccer series, and EA Sports is beginning to ramp up the marketing for the upcoming title.

Formerly known asFIFAuntil EA’s long-time partnership with FIFA ended in 2022,EA Sports FCis one of the biggest franchises owned by EA, selling over 325 million copies over the years.EA Sports FC 26will be out in September, which was originally leaked and recently confirmed by the developers. As usual, the game will come with two editions: Standard and Ultimate.

Now, EA Sports has revealed the athletes that will be featured on the cover of the Standard Edition: Real Madrid’s Jude Bellingham and Bayern Munich’s Jamal Musiala. While Bellingham currently plays for England and Musiala for Germany, both athletes were part of England’s youth system for under-15s and under-21s before Musiala decided to play for his place of birth. In the cover shared by EA, both players can be seen entering the field for a Champions League match.

The reveal comes on the heels of the announcement thatZlatan Ibrahimovic will be featured onEA Sports FC 26: Ultimate Edition’s cover. Ibrahimovic has already retired, but has played for quite a few major teams, such as Internazionale, Barcelona, Milan, Paris Saint-Germain, Manchester United, and others.

There’s likely some pressure at EA regarding how the upcomingEA Sports FC 26will perform. Together withDragon Age: The Veilguard,EA Sports FC 25underperformed EA’s expectations, which caused EA’s shares to decline by 16% in a week. With an average critic score of 76 onOpenCritic, the title mostly received mixed to positive reviews, but it was not very enthusiastically received by part of the fanbase.

Hopefully,EA Sports FC 26will see a better reception. Earlier this year,EA acquired TRACAB Technologies, a tech company that tracked real-world soccer games to capture match details to create an even more realistic simulation during games. At the moment, however, it’s unknown if the technology will be employed inEA Sports FC 26or if the partnership will only bear fruit in the next game in the popular series, which will be out in 2026. In any case, the release ofEA Sports FC 26will likely be an important time for soccer fans.
