How To Start The War Profiteer In Dune: Awakening
After completing theAtreides: GananquestMaster of Assassins, Andrea Ganan will send players to visitAmbrose Luciferain the city ofArrakeen, carrying with them a ‘gift’ in the form of Poisoned Wine.
Ambrose can be located on the first floor of Arrakkeen’s bar, and can be distinguished almost immediately since he wears purple attire. Nothing in his general aspect spells ‘good Atreides agent,’ so players might trust Andrea when she says this guy is the root of all evil. But beware: There areconsequences for their choices.
Should You Give The Poisoned Wine To Ambrose or Not?
Players shouldavoid givingAmbrose thePoisoned Wineif they want to remain in the Atreides Faction. Ambrose is a double agent for Thufir Hawat, Master of Assassins and Espionage Leader of the Atreides house, and he has been feeding the Harkonnen’s with faulty information to lead them into a trap.
If players give the poisoned wine to Ambrose, a lot of people will die, which is a bad outcome players should avoid if they don’t want tobetray their current faction. Players should choose towarn Abrose of the Poisoned wine, and he will send them to talk to Thufir Hawat. Once the Spymaster is debriefed, he will inform players that they did well on avoiding ruining an operation that he has been cooking for months. Andrea Ganan will be removed from her position, and players will start to act under the direct command of the Master of Assassins himself.
Warning Ambrose about the poison will automatically fail the objective ‘Talk to Andrea,’ which will be replaced with the Talk to Thufir objective. This doesn’t lock players from completing the quest, nor earning the rewards.
