There are multiple challenge courses in each layer ofDonkey Kong Bananza, and Stompy Ascent is one of the most challenging levels in the Canyon Layer. ThisDonkey Kong Bananzachallenge course is located along the main path through the Canyon Layer, so most players will encounter it on their journey to the planet’s core.
There arethree Banandium Gemsto collect in this challenge course, but one of them is well hidden and hard to find unless you’re paying close attention during the level. There are several stomping enemies throughout this challenge course (hence the name), and they can make it hard to focus and hunt down any hidden bananas. Here’s where you can find all three Banandium Gems in the Stompy Ascent challenge course inDonkey Kong Bananza.
Stompy Ascent Banana #1
Thefirst Stompy Ascent Banandium Gemis hidden behind adestructible wallnear the beginning of the level. To reach it, climb onto the first elevator platform and take it halfway up. The entire wall ahead is made of metal spikes, except for a breakable part in the center. Avoid the stomping enemies and punch through the wall’s weak spot to reveal the banana. Once you’ve gotten it, use the barrel inside to launch yourself to the top of the wall.
Stompy Ascent Banana #2
Thesecond Banandium Gemin Stompy Ascent is locatedhalfway through the course. It’s sitting out in the open past the first elevator platform, so you may’t miss it. Smack it a few times to collect it, then continue forward to the second elevator.
Stompy Ascent Banana #3
Thethird and final Stompy Ascent Banandium Gemis located at theend of the course. It’s waiting for you at the exit near the barrel at the top of the second elevator, but reaching it is a challenge. Carefully cross the gap, destroying the thorns and avoiding the stomping enemies along the way, then ride the elevator platform all the way to the top.
There are a bunch of stomping enemies on the second elevator ride, and they can destroy the platform if you’re not careful. Rip off a chunk of stone to defend yourself, and try to bait the stomping enemies into attacking parts of the platform that you’re not using. Once you reach the top of the wall, you can claim the final Banandium Gem.
You can use these three Banandium Gems to upgrade DK’s abilities in preparation for the upcomingDonkey Kong Bananzasublayers. Things only get more difficult from here, and the environments get much harder to destroy, too. verify to check out theother Canyon Layer challengesand stock up on as many bananas as you can before moving on.
