A newSkyrimmod called “Call of the Deep” brings a new quest set in an underwater Dwemer city to the popular open-world game. ThisSkyrimmod looks to be a DLC-sized project, featuring an entirely new quest, a sprawling location, new items, a home base, and more.

The “Call of the Deep” mod brings a new story-driven quest with fully voiced dialogue and branching choices toSkyrim. The quest starts after the player enters any city, as they will receive a letter asking the Dragonborn to investigate the disappearance of an expeditioner in R’lyend. Located in the Sea of Ghosts, the legendary underwater Dwemer city comes with “challenging puzzles, deadly traps, and terrifying underwater horrors.” Apart from exploring the Dwemer city and making choices in the story, gamers will get access to new weapons, spells, ingredients, artifacts, and a “beautifully crafted underwater player home,” with interactive rooms and a unique custom follower. Created by the modder arminZX12, “Call of the Deep” can be downloaded fromNexus Mods, and is compatible withSkyrim’s Special and Anniversary editions.

While this project will likely not be as sprawling as somehuge total conversion mods released forSkyrimover the years, it’ll likely keep players occupied for hours.

This is not the only noteworthySkyrimmod released recently. Last week, a newmod called “Echoes of Oblivion” brought Radiant NPC voices toSkyrim.According to the project’s creators, the mod included 4,500 unique NPC dialogues that trigger based on factors like location, race, weather, and quests.
