Diablo 4just revealed some extensive patch notes for an upcoming update that includes buffs for all six classes, quality-of-life improvements for the Sins of the Horadrim seasonal content, and tons of bug fixes. The first post-launch update forDiablo 4Season 9 detailed in these notes will officially go live on July 15.
On July 1,Diablo 4released Season 9, Sins of the Horadrim. This major update dives deeper into the story of the Horadrim, resurrects Astaroth in a new fight with fresh mechanics, and introduces exciting features like Horadric Spells, Jewels, and Strongrooms.
Now,Diablo 4is preparing to roll out a new update that includes some balance adjustments, bug fixes, and other improvements. Perhaps the most noticeable change in this update, which arrives on July 15, is the myriad buffs that every class is getting. Most of the changes are flat damage increases to abilities or Legendary Aspects, with each class getting between one and three buffs of this kind. On the other hand,Barbarians inDiablo 4Season 9got more than twice this amount, meaning the melee masters should see a noticeable increase to their damage output after this patch.
Tons of other quality-of-life improvements are coming in this update as well. Specific to the Sins of the Horadrim seasonal content,Horadric Arcana inDiablo 4will now be picked up automatically, Myriad Stones now grant Attack Speed buffs that stack additively with permanent boosts, and the channel time for Horadric Artifacts has been reduced by .5 seconds and made uninterruptible in Nightmare Dungeons with the Equipment Delve affix. In the general game, players can expect more Artificer’s Stones from The Pit, adjustments to the Forgotten Wisdom affix, and more salvage materials and Forgotten Souls while completing Legion Events on Torment or when opening Horadric Chests in Nightmare Dungeons with the Horadric Materials affix.
Dozens of bug fixes also go live in this update, which should resolve issues with certain quests, UI problems, and glitches involving seasonal content. It also fixed problems with certain enemies and encounters, including the Butcher and Treasure Goblins failing to spawn in the Deserted Underpass, and Astaroth’s voice lines being far too quiet.
While fans are waiting for this update to go live, they can score a brand-new transmog item with minimal effort. By watchingthree hours of anyDiablo 4streamer on Twitch, players can obtain the Glensoul Arbalest crossbow for their Rogue characters. This campaign goes through July 19 at 10 AM, so fans have until a few days after the July 15 update to earn this cosmetic weapon.
