With such a desirable weapon with unique perks associated with it, some players might want to know how to get the Phoneutria Fera, and what Phoneutria Fera’s god rolls are for PvE and PvP, and we’ve listed all you need to know, right here.
How to Get Phoneutria Fera in Destiny 2
Players will get their first Phoneutria Fera by speaking to Ada in the Shooting Range, found in the Tower, during the first step of the Initial Calibration quest. Players can continue to follow these quest steps for Combat Telemetry so that they can exchange them for their first Arms Week Event Weapons Engram, which has a chance to drop the Phoneutria Fera when decrypted at the Cryptarch.
Players can get additional Phoneutria Fera drops byfarming Ops activitiesin the Portal to collect Combat Telemetry, with harder activities, like Pinnacle Ops, providing more Combat Telemetry. With 25 Combat Telemetry, players can head to Ada-1 in the Shooting Range to purchase an Arms Week Event Weapons Engram, but they can guarantee a Phoneutria Fera drop by spending an additional 25 Combat Telemetry in the Arms Week Focusing tab. Players will have to grind additional Ops for Combat Telemetry so that they can purchase Arms Week Event Weapons Engrams to hope that they get a god roll or a Holofoil variant, or in some cases, both!

Phoneutria Fera works more like a Shotgun than a Hand Cannon, so players will want to build into that close-range buckshot with a melee build that allows them to fight up-close and personal. As such, the perks players are looking for areProximity Power and One-Two Punch. With Proximity Power, players will get a bonus in their Melee stat when they get final blows from nearby targets. With One-Two Punch, hitting an enemy with every pellet in a shot provides an increase in melee damage. If melee isn’t to your taste, then try Threat Detector and Incandescent.
Phoneutria Fera can stand its own in a PvP fight, especially with its vicious headshot damage at close-range, and ability to fire multiple shots as a weapon that doesn’t require Heavy Ammo. For Hand Cannon fans that like to fight at a closer distance, Phoneutria Fera’s PvP perks will be Threat Detector and Swashbuckler. Threat Detector is great for increasing reload, stability, and handling whenever enemies are nearby, and Swashbuckler grants a damage increase stack for every kill, which benefits Guardians who like to stay alive.
