New leaks fromDestiny 2suggest that the game may receive some wild-looking armor cosmetics and new items for the upcoming Solstice 2025 limited-time event. Solstice isDestiny 2’s yearly summer event, which debuts new limited-time events for players to engage in, alongside new prizes and loot to chase.

With more than a decade having passed since the release of the originalDestiny(and close to eight years sinceDestiny 2’s launch), veteran players of the game have gotten used to a reliable cadence of events and updates. Even though the recently launchedEdge of Fateexpansion promises the biggest changes yetto weapons, armor, loot, and even the game’s interface, players can still look forward to regularly scheduled events to plumb for loot and goodies. One of these is the yearly Solstice, which often contains some of the most desirable cosmetic armor and weapon drops of the year.

If a new leak is accurate, theDestiny 22025 Solstice event could contain some truly wild options for fans to peruse. Reddit user Mezuka shared what looks to bea leaked promotional banner for Solstice 2025with the DestinyFashion community, revealing new sets of cosmetic armor for players to earn and purchase during the event. The free set looks to be a recolored version of theDestiny 2Solstice armorfrom 2019, this time with upgrades and armor challenges that can attach a white-colored glowing effect to players. The premium armor set from the Eververse store, however, is much sillier, dressing Guardians in beachwear and swimming-themed costumes and accessories.

Destiny 2has long hosted cosmetic upgrades that break with the otherwise serious tone of the game’s narrative and setting, not the least being the recentDestiny 2Star Warscrossover. That said, the leaked Solstice 2025 Eververse armor sets could be the silliest yet. While still fully covering the character, the sets evoke skimpy beachwear and poolside inflatable gear. The Warlock set wears a sun hat and sunglasses, as well as sarong bottoms. The Hunter set features a “cloak” made from a shark-themed beach towel. The Titan armor includes patterns evoking Hawaiian shirts as well as shoulder pauldrons made from inflatable pool toys and a duck inner tube belt. Even the weapons include coatings that show off a water pattern with aqua furniture.

Destiny 2fans reacted positively to the leaks, with many excited to see a return and upgrade of the 2019 Solstice gear, as players who missed out on the original event nearly six years ago will get the chance to snag a beloved armor design for themselves. Some commenters noted that the Warlock costume in particular looks like a real swimsuit, raising the possibility of future costume designs that expose more “skin” than is typical of theDestinyaesthetic. Others looked forward to applying the popularDestiny 2Superblack shaderto the Hunter’s shark cloak to make for a terrifying new costume.
