Demon Slayeris one of the biggest anime series in the world, and for many reasons. While the manga found only moderate success at first, it didn’t take long for the series to absolutely blow up when the anime was announced. One also can’t underestimate the movies this series has. After all, the Mugen Train movie broke all records in Japan and still sits as the biggest Box Office hit in the country. This is no easy feat to achieve, of course, and is telling of the popularity of this series.
Fans who loved the Mugen Train movie are definitely in for a ride, the new trilogy of movies that is set to release will be way bigger. The first movie of this trilogy is actually set to drop very soon, and it has fans very excited, especially after the reveal of its main trailer a few days ago.

Tanjiro Will Fight His Strongest Opponent Yet
Tanjiro is the main character of this series, and of course, he has had his fair share of difficult battles on his journey. But, all the hardships have only caused him to grow stronger as he masters his breathing style more.
Some of the strongest demons Tanjiro has fought in the anime include some of the Upper Rank demons. Tanjiro’s first time fighting an Upper Rank Demon was when his team and Tengen took on the Upper Rank 6 demons, Gyutaro and Daki. Tanjiro was also a part of the battle against Hantengu, the Upper Rank 4 Demon.
Now, in the upcoming movie, fans see Tanjiro come face to face with Akaza, the Upper Rank Three Demon. Akaza is farstronger than any other demon Tanjiro has fought before, and this battle is very personal for Tanjiro, as Akaza is the one who killed Rengoku at the end of the Mugen Train movie.
Of course, Tanjiro will have an even bigger obstacle down the line, but for now, Akaza will be a huge challenge.

The Demon Slayer manga concluded long ago, in 2020 to be specific. The story is rather short compared to most other series, and only spans over 205 chapters. Fans of the series who don’t want to wait for the movies to drop can check the manga out on Manga Plus.
Meanwhile, for the anime, the series currently has 4 anime seasons. These anime seasons can all be found on Crunchyroll. The rest of the series will be animated into movies, for which fans will have to wait for a theatrical release. The release date, in this case, depends on their country.
