Delta Forcereached a new peak of 198,735 concurrent players on Steam ahead of its PlayStation 5 and Xbox Series X/S release scheduled for August 19. The player resurgence comes following the recentDelta Forcemassive summer update, which brought a whole bunch of new content for players.
Delta Forceisa popular tactical FPSreleased for PC and mobile earlier in 2025 following an early access period. While the series began back in 1998, it hadn’t seen a new entry since 2009’sDelta Force: Xtreme 2—until the new game launched its open beta in December 2024. While the newDelta Forcehas struggled with its Steam rating (currently sitting at “Mixed”), it has been quite successful on PC and mobile, attracting hundreds of thousands of players after its release. And now, players have flooded the game following the recent huge update.
Delta Force Hits 198,735 Concurrent Players on Steam
As a live service game,Delta Forcehas been bringing new contentto players throughout the year, though the Season “Break” update has been the most significant one to date. Released on July 9, the patch introduced a new summer pass with 20 Armament Voucher rewards, plus an Epic Weapon Appearance. Moreover, players who simply joined the game between 7/9 and 7/14 got the Rare Firearm Appearance: M249 - Shark Squad for free, and those who logged in 7 days in a row obtained Armament Vouchers, TurBrick, Firearm Appearance: M250 - Skynet, and more.
Additionally, the update introduced a new weapon, expandingDelta Force’s arsenal, and featured a collaboration with mobile RPG tower defenseArknights. Players can still join Operations events and Mobile Exclusive Operations events, while also enjoying the new store supply and tactical armament updates. As console players gear up to joinDelta Forceon August 19, the developer has a lot in store for players across all platforms.
