Dead by Daylighthas set a new record for all-time player count: 106,029.According to SteamDB, the number was registered on Tuesday, June 17, after the release of theDead by Daylightcrossover withFive Nights at Freddy’s. As part of this update, the developers added Springtrap, the macabre animatronic who acts as the antagonist inFNAF 3, as the newest Killer. The collaboration also features cosmetic items including Springtrap skins, two banners, and four badges, as well as three new achievements to unlock.

In addition to this being the highest player count inDead by Daylighthistory, it was also the highest number the game has achieved in 2025 so far. SteamDB also lists that the game’s previous record was set in June 2021, whenDead by Daylightcrossed over withResident Eviland registered 105,093 concurrent players. At that time, Behaviour Interactive added Leon and Jill Valentine as Survivors and Nemesis-T Type as a Killer. The second part of the collaboration was released in August 2022, featuring Ada Wong and Rebecca Chambers as Survivors and Albert Wesker as a Killer.
