Bloodpoints are used for basically everything inDead by Daylight, so you can never have too many of them. Whether you’re looking to prestige your favorite characters to unlock their perks for other characters or stock up on add-ons and offerings for your next match, you’re going to need a lot of Bloodpoints inDead by Daylight.
You’ll earn a bunch of Bloodpoints just by playingDead by Daylight, but knowing how the game calculates Bloodpoint totals makes the farming process a lot simpler. It’s easy to farm Bloodpoints as either a killer or a survivor, so you don’t have to deviate too hard from your usual playstyle just to earn more rewards. Some perks and strategies make Bloodpoints easier to get, though, so these tips will help you rack up Bloodpoints as quickly as possible.
Bloodpoints are rewarded for scoring highly in four distinct categories for both killers and survivors.
If you complete actions that fit into these categories, you’ll earn Bloodpoints at the end of the match based on your performance. You can earn a maximum of 10,000 Bloodpoints per category, so the maximum Bloodpoint earnings for aDead by Daylightmatch cap out at 40,000 for both killers and survivors.
It’s a bit easier to earn Bloodpoints as a killer since you’ll have more opportunities to score across each category and you won’t have to rely on other players. Survivors can still earn a ton of Bloodpoints, too, but it can be difficult to get a high score in categories like Altruism if your teammates aren’t helping out as much.
Killer Bloodpoint Farming
If you’re trying to farm Bloodpoints as a killer, focus on long chases with each survivor. This will earn Bloodpoints in the Hunter category, and you’ll net some points in the Brutality category if you land some attacks as well. Chases lead to dropped pallets and other obstacles, which you can destroy for additional Brutality points. If you use a killer like The Dredge orThe Animatronic, it’s super easy to rack up Deviousness points by spamming their powers. Some killers even have add-ons that boost their Bloodpoint earnings, so keep an eye out for those in the Bloodweb.
Survivor Bloodpoint Farming
On the survivor side, focus on rushing as many generators as possible. Bring a medkit so you can heal your allies, and bring perks that let you rescue them from hooks more easily.Playing a support rolelike this will earn you a ton of Objectives and Altruism Bloodpoints, and Survival points should come naturally. Boldness is one of the hardest categories for newDead by Daylightplayers to max out. Don’t be too afraid of the killer. Use a flashlight to stun them, drop pallets whenever possible, and draw out chases so you can get Boldness points.
Bloodpoint Offerings and Quests
Since there are offerings that dramatically increase Bloodpoint earnings in specific categories, try to enter every match with a game plan in mind. If you’re using an offering that buffs Deviousness rewards, then try using a killer like Nemesis or The Doctor. If you’re using an offering that boosts Objectives points for a survivor, bring repair kits and perks for generator rushing. Don’t forget to check the quests page for bonus objectives to complete during matches that will not only give you extra Bloodpoints, but also Rift Fragments.
Dead by Daylightalso runs bonus Bloodpoint events fairly frequently, and you should definitely take advantage of these whenever they come around. They typically coincide with other big events likeChapter releasesor holidays, so check back often to see if it’s a good time for farming.
