Story of a Boy Tortured Till He Turned Evil
Many decades ago, the Byakuja Village, known for its hot springs, was a peaceful place ideal for human settlement. Surrounded by nature, it offered people an escape from the fast-paced city life. While everything appeared perfect on the surface, a dark secret threatened to put the tranquil region into turmoil. Byakuja Village was home to a volcano, which was sacred to the villagers.
However, at some point during the feudal era, aMongolian Death Worm, also known as the Tsuchinoko, was discovered residing in it. The villagers came to believe that it held the key to the volcanic activity in the region. According to the legend, if the Tsuchinoko was hungry, the volcano could potentially erupt. In order to avoid the catastrophe, a ritual emerged according to which a child was sacrificed to appease the Mongolian Death Worm.
Over the years, countless children were fed to the Tsuchinoko, and the volcano remained calm. Among these kids was a boy who was held inside a room for months before the ritual day. The only source of light was a small window through which he could see children his age playing in the distance. He deeply desired to meet and play with them. But unfortunately, that dream never came true. He was held in terrible condition, and on the ritual day, he met a brutal end.
Over time, the story of the Mongolian Death Worm became a local legend, but theKito family continued sacrificing children. The kid who dreamt of playing with others was turned into a yokai, but initially, he harbored no ill will. Whenever a new family moved into the house built on top of the room where he was kidnapped, he tried to befriend the kids. Unfortunately, he always ended up scaring them instead. Meanwhile, the Tsuchinoko’s Suicidal Psychic Waves kept pushing the adults in the family to commit suicide, leaving the children with unimaginable trauma.
The Kito Family Created the Evil Eye With Their Cruelty
The Kito family would take advantage of this situation and kidnap the child to use them as a sacrifice to the Mongolian Death Worm. The yokai of the young boy tried to save one of these children but failed miserably. Since he did not have a vessel, he could not physically untie them to set them free. While he saw many deaths, one in particular left a lasting impression on him. A boy, who was about the same age as him when he died, was caught by the Kito family.The yokai tried desperately to set him free, but nothing worked.
Eventually, on the day of the sacrifice, the boy was murdered while the spirit tried till the last moment to save him from the ordeal. This incidentfilled the yokai with so much hatredfor humanity that he turned into the notorious Evil Eye. All these years, he waited for the day to finally find the right vessel to free himself from his limitations.

That day finally came when theEnjoji’s moved into the sacrificial home. Jin’s athletic body was exactly what he needed. The Evil Eye slowly gained his trust and managed to make him its vessel. Now that he finally has a physical body, the notorious yokai plans to use it to slaughter all humans.
Gifted with frightening powers, he seems to be quite dangerous and can be a potential threat ifOkarun and his friends manage to control him. But it remains to be seen how things will unfold from here on. The upcoming episodes will surely reveal what happens to Jin and if it is even possible to bring him back.
