First debuting with 2009’sBatman: Arkham Asylum, theArkhamgames developed by Rocksteady and Eidos saw critical and commercial acclaim.Arkham Asylumwas hailed as one of the “greatest comic book video games of all time,” capturing a nomination for Game of the Year and helping Rocksteady to win Studio of the Year. Now, another scrapped RocksteadyBatmangame has seen its early footage leaked.
A video shared by prominentBatman Arkhamaccount The Arkham Channel is showing off new unreleased footage from Rocksteady’s Damian Wayne game. The video depictsBatmanvillain Killer Croc as he is ambushed byDamian Wayne as Batman, tailing after the villain in a motorcycle chase. The footage noticeably features several unfinished textures within the scene, including all the surrounding buildings and even Killer Croc and Batman’s motorcycles. The uploader also notes that the video uses a placeholder model for Killer Croc fromBatman: Arkham Originsto represent the villain.
Leaked Video Shows Canceled Damian Wayne Batman Game
The new video from the cancelled Damian WayneBatmangame comes as more information about the cancelled project has begun to surface. The game, referred to in production as “Project Sabbath,” would have featuredBruce Wayne’s son Damian taking over as Batman, with an older, grizzled Bruce guiding him. The inclusion of character models for Killer Croc suggests that the villain likely would have played a significant role in the game, with the Huntress also appearing within concept art.
