On July 17,Cyberpunk 2077will launch on macOS, specifically on Mac devices with Apple Silicon and 16GB or more of unified memory. Long-time fans may remember that thegame’s macOS port was revealed in October 2024. There had been no word from CD Projekt Red about the port since then, until this unexpected new announcement. It’s worth noting that the pricing has yet to be revealed, but based on the game’s cost on other platforms, the Mac edition will likely be priced at $80.

Aside fromCyberpunk 2077, one of the few other major releases to target Mac in recent years wasBaldur’s Gate 3, which received a positive reception on the platform.
While the addition of Mac toCyberpunk 2077’s supported platforms is generally good news, many fans seem disappointed by the announcement. It’s not that they don’t want the game on Mac - it’s just that most are eagerly awaiting news onCyberpunk 2077’s postponed 2.3 update. There are already hundreds of comments from impatient fans asking the devs about the mysterious patch. However, it seems they’ll have to wait a bit longer, as CDPR is unlikely to reveal much about update 2.3 in the coming days.
