Along with the wide variety of items added to the game,Death Stranding 2: On the Beachfeatures several brand-new categories of creatures for Sam to interact with (re: run from) while exploring the Mexican and Australian maps. One of the most interesting – and beautifully annoying – areChiral Creatures. These pesky creatures love to swarm Sam, and come in several different forms. In this guide, however, we’ll be looking at the rarest form:Golden Chiral Creatures. Here, we’ll show youwhere to find Golden Chiral Creatures inDeath Stranding 2,andhow to unlock the “Conqueror of the Golden CC” trophy.
Where to Find Golden Chiral Creatures in DS2
Locate the Architect:
Golden Chiral Creatures are incredibly rare inDeath Stranding 2: On the Beach.So rare, in fact, that we’ve only managed to find them in a single location. Luckily, the location is not far from a mandatory Prepper location, you’ll just need to go slightly out of your way to find it.
Don’t worry about looking for theGolden Chiral Creatureuntil you’re starting to make your way east along the northern edge of Australia. The perfect time to locate theGolden CCis afterOrder 24, when you are traveling to thePizza CheffromHeartman’s Lab. As Order 24 is a timed delivery, you’ll definitely want to wait until you complete the order.
After you drop off the delivery, you’ll want to begin your journey to theArchitect. If you check the Pizza Chef’s order list, you’ll findSub-Order 105, which tasks you with delivering a pizza to the Architect. It’s definitely worth taking on this order, as it’ll take you to your desired location, as well as unlock the Architect and connect the Chiral Network in their region. This will once again be a timed delivery, so make sure to complete it before looking for the Golden Chiral Creature.
Find the Nearby Tar Pools:
Once you are free to explore outside the Architect’s shelter, you won’t have to go far to find the Golden Chiral Creatures. From the exit, use the compass view and head slightly southeast. You’ll reach the rocky area, and you want to look for small streams of tar floating up towards the sky. These mark the two small tar pools in the area.
The tar pools, and the surrounding area, are where the Golden Chiral Creatures like to congregate. We encountered them very early in the morning, and throughout the night. While we didn’t find them during the day, we can’t necessarily say for certain they are never there. It did seem to us, however, that they were easier to find at night.
The Golden Chiral Creatures are quite small, and look similar to a 3D version of the ghosts fromPac-Man.They have the same metallic gold color as chiral crystals.
How to Unlock the Conqueror of the Golden CC Trophy in Death Stranding 2
Shoot to Unlock:
To unlockDS2’s “Conqueror of the Golden CC” trophy, you simply need to shoot and kill a single Golden Chiral Creature. The moment they are destroyed, the trophy banner will appear.
An added benefit of this trophy is the amount of Chiral Crystals you’ll collect. It appears to be slightly less than the giant BTs. We often find four or more Golden CCs in the area after each rest, making this a great method to quickly collect a large chunk of crystals. We hesitate to say that this is a good way tofarm Chiral Crystals inDS2,simply because of the rarity of the creatures. But if you need a couple thousand quickly, this is a great way to get them.
