In fact,Capcom revealed plans to expand its game developmentby 2027, a goal which will likely become easier if the upcoming slate of titles continues the company’s recent trend.
Capcom has finally revealed the start time for its upcoming summer spotlight event as June 26. This digital event plans to reveal the latest news at the company, including looks at upcoming games and content, withResident Evil Requiemexpected to be a big part of the show. After plenty of leaks and teases,Resident Evil Requiemwas revealed at Summer Game Fest 2025, highlighting protagonist Grace Ashcroft and potentially hinting at connections to some of the more underrated games in the franchise.
Capcom Spotlight 2025 Start Date and Time
In addition to the big names likeResident Evil Requiem, the Capcom Showcase teaser does highlight a number of other games which will likely be appearing as well, includingMonster Hunter Wilds,Onimusha, andStreet Fighter 6, with the latter recently confirming new content for players.Street Fighter 6Year 3confirmed four upcoming fighters, like C. Viper, Ingrid, Alex, and Sagat. In fact, expectations are that Sagat will be featured during this Spotlight event as his release date appears to be imminent.
In terms ofMonster Hunter Wild, fans are expecting to see some news on upcoming content and perhaps even a tease of the game’s long-term future. At the very least, Capcom has already confirmed therelease window forMonster Hunter WildsTitle Update 2as late June, which does seem to line up with this showcase nicely. No doubt that fans will get to see more of what this update includes, like layered weapons, tempered monsters, and the return of Lagiacrus.
