Call of Duty: Warzonejust got another July 2025 patch, bringing a fix for a Ranked Play: Resurgence issue and some balance changes to a few Marksman Rifles. This is not the first update that has been released forCall of Duty: Warzonein July so far.
The month kicked off with the launch of Season 4 Reloaded, a mid-season update that introduced new content and a bunch of gameplay adjustments. One of the more unexpected additions was a crossover withBeavis & Butt-Head, which added an odd bit of cartoon chaos to the battlefield. About a week later, anotherCall of Duty: Warzonepatch followed, this time centered mainly on weapon balancing.
This newestCall of Duty: Warzonepatch for July is smaller than the last but zeroes in on some remaining gameplay issues and reworks a couple of Marksman Rifles. On theWarzone’s Ranked Playside, one key fix addresses a Resurgence bug where Portable Buy Stations were incorrectly dropping from legendary crates. That’s now sorted, and those items are once again properly restricted to help maintain fair play.
TwoCall of Duty: WarzoneMarksman Riflesin particular, the DM-10 and TR2, have received major adjustments. The DM-10’s max damage was knocked down from 78 to 63.8 and its effective range shortened from 50.8 meters to 35.5, and its minimum damage also was decreased from 60 to 50.8 when firing at long range beyond that distance. The TR2 got hit harder, with both its max and minimum damage lowered from 59 to 45.9 across the board. In addition, general performance tweaks affecting Marksman Rifles included bullet velocity being dropped from 1020m/s to 950m/s, aim-down-sight time getting increased from 300ms to 350ms, and sprint-to-fire delay going from 205ms to 235ms.
A round of general fixes fills out the rest of thisCall of Duty: Warzonepatch. These include corrected stat tracking for kills in the pre-match lobby, a fix for players getting stuck in the Ranked Play playlist, and a bug that caused issues when editing custom class attachments mid-match. Plunder mode got some cleanup too - problems like Attack Choppers ignoring players during overtime and cash pickups failing to double have been fixed. An exploit with Spy Cameras showing up in Ranked has been taken care of as well, and the gear is now properly restricted from that mode.
Overall, this patch aims to tighten up the gameplay experience and ensure a more balanced and stable environment. It is also worth noting that Activision recently introduced an age-verification prompt that now requiresWarzoneandBlack Ops 6players to enter a valid birthdate. Accounts flagged as underage will be removed in four months if parental consent isn’t submitted.
