Activision has announced a newGundamcollaboration for Season 6 ofCall of Duty: Mobile. Like the previousGundamcollab forCall of Duty: Warzone,Call of Duty: Mobileplayers will have the opportunity to enjoyGundam-themed operator skins, along with a new event, mode, and much more.
AlthoughCall of Duty: Mobileisn’t as discussed as the franchise’s main console and PC counterparts,Call of Duty: Black Ops 6andWarzone, the mobile game has become one of Activision’s biggest successes.Call of Duty: Mobileis free-to-play and was able to generate $54 million in its first month after launching in 2019. The game also went on to be downloaded over 500 million times as of May 2021, and it continues to receive support from Activision and thedevelopers at TiMi Studios alongsideCall of Duty: Black Ops 6andWarzone.Call of Duty: MobileSeason 6 is on the horizon, and theGundamseries will be the latest participant in a long line of collaborations held in the game.
Activision confirmed thatCall of Duty: MobileSeason 6 — Gundams Arrive will launch on July 2 at 5:00 p.m. PDT, and as the season’s title suggests, it will prominently feature aGundamcollab event. Throughout the season,Call of Duty: Mobileplayers will have the opportunity to earn or purchaseGundam-themed operators, weapons, and rewards. The season will introduce the limited-time 4v4 Gundam Team Deathmatch mode, which lets players immediately deploy with operators themed around Gundams, including Ethan (Freedom Gundam), Reaper (Sazabi Gundam), Proton (v Gundamo), and Deathscythe Gundam (EW). Instead of using normal Loadout weapons, each Gundam operator will have its own special abilities and weapons in the modified Team Deathmatch mode.

It’s worth noting that Gundam Team Deathmatch battles play out from a third-person perspective, similarly to Bandai Namco’s manyGundamtitles. Additionally, the newCall of Duty: Mobilemode aims to immerse fans in theGundamuniverse, as it takes place on an interstellar space station with many points of interest. At the end of Gundam Team Deathmatch, players can watchGundam-inspired operator animations outside the match. There are rewards for watching these animations, and more animations can be unlocked by playing Gundam Team Deathmatch andCall of Duty: Mobile’sstandard Multiplayer and Battle Royale modes.
Call of Duty: Mobile’snewGundamevents will offer a variety of free rewards to players who spent time in Gundam Team Deathmatch. Complete missions and challenges in the Survival of the Fittest event to obtainGundam-themed rewards like the legendary weapon J358 — Fin Funnel v Gundam, Urban Tracker — Defense Force, Cyro Bomb — Haro (reskin), Emote — Haro Team, new camos, and more. There will also be login events and check-ins, which grant free seasonal rewards simply for logging in toCall of Duty: Mobileduring Season 6, similarly totheNieR: Automatacollaboration.
TheCall of Duty: Mobilein-game storewill also be updated with the Gundam Forever Operator Series Draw and Gundam Universe Weapon Series Draw. Players can pull from these draws to unlock the new operator skins from Gundam Team Deathmatch permanently and unlock new Gundam-inspired weapon blueprints. Pairing up specific Gundam operators and weapon blueprints will unlock stylized operator skills, while collecting these newGundamcosmetics will award special completion rewards, such as calling cards, frames, and a Beam Saber — Freedom Gundam.
