Call of Duty’s highly anticipated Season 4 Reloaded update is just a few days away, butBlack Ops 6players are already expressing their outrage with the upcoming Beavis and Butt-Head skins coming to the game in the mid-season update.Call of Duty: Black Ops 6’s upcoming collaboration with Beavis and Butt-Head will also bring some new cel-shaded maps to the game, but fans have quickly blasted both as a “literal eyesore.”

Earlier this week, Activision surprised fans by revealing that Season 4 Reloaded will include aCall of Dutyx Beavis and Butt-Head collaboration. The unexpected collaboration will see a brand-new Event Pass added to bothBlack Ops 6andWarzone, with a free and premium version available. The event will be live with the launch of Season 4 Reloaded on July 2, and will work almost identically to previous events. To unlock new rewards, including operator skins and a new melee weapon, players must earn XP in either Multiplayer, Zombies, orWarzone. Purchasing the premium version of the event pass will grant players with even more rewards.

Unfortunately, it appears that this will beanother controversialCall of Dutyevent, as fans are already labeling the skins an “eyesore.” In a new post on Reddit, user JoeyAKangaroo said that the skins look “bad” and that it is an eyesore having cartoon characters with cartoon proportions in a game likeCall of Duty. While some players have defended the addition of the skins, others seem to agree. Fellow Reddit userElectric-Mountainsays thatCall of Dutygets “closer and closer” toFortniteevery single year. WhileCall of Dutyhas never been a grounded, realistic shooter, many fans believe the game is losing its identity, as continued collaborations with the likes ofSquid Game,Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles, and more are ruining the franchise.

Not everyone feels the same way, as some have said the addition of Beavis and Butt-Head is their “most anticipated bundle,” and others even say the skins “look awesome.” However, the vast majority of players are seemingly tired of unrealistic cosmetic items inCall of Duty. The good news is that a rumor claims Activision is well aware of the complaints and is consideringtoning downCall of Duty’s unrealistic skins. These collaborations likely bring in a ton of money for the publisher, but a recent rumor suggests the studio is considering “showing some restraint” when it comes to outlandish cosmetic items.

For those annoyed by the upcoming Beavis and Butt-Head collaboration,Call of DutySeason 4 Reloadedhas plenty more in store for players to check out. The highly anticipated mid-season update will see the return of Fringe, an iconic Multiplayer map fromBlack Ops 3, as well as plenty of new limited-time modes, gameplay updates, features, and much more. The new update will go live inBlack Ops 6andWarzoneon Wednesday, July 2.
