Boruto: Two Blue Vortexhas given fans some very exciting content, including some massive battles, but what most fans care about truly isthe return of Naruto Uzumaki and Sasuke Uchiha. Fans know that these two are the most important characters in the franchise, regardless of who the main character of theBorutoseries is, and the disrespect that they’ve received from Ikemoto has been unreal.
Unfortunately, things are about to get worse for Naruto Uzumaki, based on the direction that the story is headed in. It seems that once Naruto does return, he won’t get to be Hokage again, which would be sad indeed.
Why Naruto Won’t Be Hokage Again
There is absolutely no denying the fact that Naruto Uzumaki is very young. Right now, he’s 31 and it must also be remembered that Naruto is actually stuck in Daikokuten, where time doesn’t flow. Technically, Naruto is younger than Sasuke now by around 2.5 years, if not more. That aside, at this age, Naruto should be in his prime. As such, regardless of when he returns,he should be the Hokage of the villagersbecause there is nobody half as deserving as him. But, then again, the Boruto series never truly cared about logic when it comes to Naruto and the characters of the old generation. It does what it wants, and will most likely continue to take that approach in the future too.

The biggest reason whyNaruto won’t get to be Hokage againin the future is simple to understand. Naruto won’t be back before the series starts winding up. As fans know, when Kawaki and Boruto fight, which is much later in the future, Naruto is still sealed away. It is entirely possible that Naruto only returns at the end of the series. This means others who have been earmarked to take the position will take over.
Konoha Will Be Led By Konohamaru, Unfortunately
The Most Unworthy Hokage In The History Of Konoha
Fans need to keep in mind that before Boruto ends, two characters need to be Hokage first and there is absolutely no way around it. This is one of the biggest reasons why Naruto likely won’t be Hokage again. The first character is none other than Konohamaru Sarutobi.He’s always wanted to be Hokage, and he most certainly will. Unfortunately, while he did have a lot of potential, Konohamaru is weak and Boruto has treated him with nothing but disrespect. As such, he’ll go on to be Konoha’s official 8th Hokage, and a big disappointment as well.

Sarada Will Eventually Take Over The Position As 9th Hokage
Sarada Uchiha will ultimately be Konoha’s 9th Hokage. It is her dream to become the Hokage, and the Boruto series can’t conclude without Sarada taking on this position for herself. It would be a waste of plotline otherwise.
Considering the fact that two Hokage need to take the office before the conclusion of Boruto and the fact that Naruto will only return at the very end, fans will likely never see him leading Konoha as the Seventh Hokage again.
