Borderlands 4’s newest “Beyond the Borderlands” video gives players plenty more details about how Rafa the Exo-Soldier will play.Rafa is said to focus heavilyon melee attacks as one of his main sources of damage, utilizing his Arc Knives to get up close and personal. Rafa’s Arc Knives Action Skill shifts the game into a third-person perspective, allowing him to nimbly weave through and slice down enemies. The video also provides more details about Rafa’s “Peacebreaker Cannons” Remote Agent, giving him a rapid-fire turret that fires on enemies alongside the player.
Borderlands 4 Reveals Rafa Gameplay
Rafa’s gameplay showcase gives plenty of ideas for how players can customize their own build for the character as well. Upgrades for the Arc Knives can allow players to change Rafa’s dash attack and even alter its damage type, offering the ability to add corrosive damage. The Peacebreaker Cannons can be swapped with a variety of different weapons like shotguns and lasers. One of the game’s developers even mentions their own personal testbuild for Rafa centering around grenades, allowing players to even dual-wield grenades in combat.
With just a few months left untilBorderlands 4’s launch, Gearbox likely has plenty more on the way for fans anxiously waiting for the fourth numbered game.
