The adaptation was said to be in the works back in 2023, and one director is on every fan’s lips to make the IP his own. Guillermo del Toro is the fan-favorite director to take the reins, as the creative has a very distinct gothic style in all his fantasy works. Every horror and fantasy fan has their opinion on whatthe best Guillermo del Toro filmsare, and some of the auteur’s acclaimed work includesHellboy 2: The Golden Army,The Shape of Water, and the award-winningPan’s Labyrinth. A few other directors onBloodbornefans’ wishlist includeNosferatu’s Robert Eggers,The Haunting of Hill House’s Mike Flanagan, and a surprising choice in Christopher Nolan.
Bloodborneisn’t the only soulslike IP that’s being turned into a movie, as FromSoftware’s other behemoth,Elden Ring,will also be shown the silver-screen treatment.
