Naruto Shippuden went down the path of fillers, and it ended up with more than 40% filler content, which is an astounding number. Fans were patient with the series, but after seeing so many fillers, they went to social networking sites to voice their concern and disdain.
If Black Clover had done the same, fans would have lost interest in the series. Fortunately, Studio Pierrot made the right call and placed the Black Clover anime on hiatus. The anime went on break in March 2021, and since then, there have been almost zero updates.

In a recent report, it wasconfirmed that Black Clover Season 5 is in production. This is obviously big news for fans who have been waiting for years to learn the fate of their beloved anime series. Theannouncement did not call it Black Clover Season 5, instead labeling it as season 2/sequel. However, fans should not be confused, as the sequel will pick up from the events of the fourth season. So, it’s perfectly fine to call it season 5.

Now that it’s been confirmed that the nextinstallment of the Black Clover anime is inproduction, the biggest question on everyone’s lips is, when will season 5 be released? At the moment, it’s hard to give an estimate, but if Black Clover is going to be a seasonal anime, then the new season could come out as early as next year.
Of course, the estimation depends on how many episodes the studio is trying to produce. If it’s around 24 episodes, then it would make sense forBlack Clover Season 5 to release in late 2026 or early 2027. While not all studios follow the same schedule, most, if not all, will require more than 12 months to finish the job. So, fans should adjust their expectations accordingly.
