As the first new IP by Bethesda Game Studios in over 25 years, expectations were high forStarfieldout of the gate, especially after director Todd Howard dubbed the title “Skyrimin space.” While many reviews for the game have trended positive when focusing on the title’s combat and exploration,Starfieldhas faced ample player backlashin recent months, as there has been a major lull in new content for players to enjoy. AlongsideStarfield’s July Steam Beta update on PC, which consists largely of bug fixes and performance improvements, the developers promised that support for the game would continue. According to themessage, the team is working on future updates, with more information regarding the game’s future set to be released “in the coming months.” While a second expansion forStarfieldhas been teased, no official comment has confirmed its existence. Additionally, rumors of a PS5 port persist, though there has been no confirmation.
