These upgrades enhance the Sandbike’s capabilities, making it more versatile for your resource-gathering runs in far-off regions. Let’s check out the upgrades for Sandbike and how they’re great for certain situations.
Sandbike Booster Upgrade
The Sandworm is the biggest threat when traversing the open deserts of Arrakis, and no land vehicle can outrun it. Even though the Sandbike is fast, players can make it even faster by attaching theBooster MK2 upgradeto it. Activating the booster gives the bike a burst of acceleration, which can significantly increase its speed to cross open stretches of the desert quickly.
However, this burst of speed is for a limited time only, as players will need to keep an eye on the temperature gauge. Once the bar crosses the maximum threshold, thebooster will overheat, causing it to shut down. While you cannot outrun the Sandworm even with boosters activated, it’ll at least give you a larger window to cross over to a safe landmass while being chased.
Players can craft the higher tier of booster upgrades to increase this burst of speed.
Sandbike Scanner Upgrade
TheScanner MK2 upgradeis a helpful utility that players can modify the Sandbike to help them detect various resources in the world. Activating the Scanner will send a cone-shaped pulse to the area in front of you that will go through solid objects. While pulsing,any helpful resources like plants or oreswill be pinged, allowing you to salvage them for later.
Sandbike Inventory Upgrade
If players want to head out on a resource-gathering session, pairing the Sandbike Scanner MK2 withthe Inventory MK2 upgradeis essential. The storage gives players 500 volumes of space on their Sandbike, which helps in storing various resources. After pulsing an area with the Sanbike Scanner, you’ll be able to quickly detect viable resources around you. This will let you salvage them and dump them in your Sandbike storage tofree up your individual carry weight.
Players won’t be able to store their Sandbike in the Vehicle Backup Tool if there’s anything inside its storage.
