Regieleki, along with Regidrago, was a new addition to the Regi-trio in thePokemonworld. Debuting inSword/Shield’s Crown Tundra DLC, this Electron Pokemon has stepped into the world ofPokemon GO. As a Legendary Pokemon, Regieleki appears as a 5-star Raid Pokemon. Because of its high CP and 5-star rating inGO, you’ll want to bring your best Pokemon that can counter Regieleki’s Electric-typing. You should also not attempt this Raid Boss alone. Battle in a group, and you’ll have a higher chance of winning the catch encounter with Regieleki post-raid.
Pokemon GO: Regieleki Weaknesses & Resistances
Regieleki is anElectric-typePokemon, meaning it has a weakness toGround-type moves. You’ll want to avoid hitting Regieleki with Electric, Flying, or Steel-type moves, as it has a resistance to these three types. Regieleki’s Electric-type moves gaina boost duringRainy weather. Finally, Regieleki appears in5-star Raidswith a CP of38402, making it quite challenging to beat even with a party of five players.

Lock-On and Hyper Beam are Normal-type moves, but Hyper Beam is quite powerful, and when paired with Lock-On, Regieleki can charge itveryquickly. Youcanbring a Ghost-type to lower the damage taken from Regieleki’s potential Hyper Beam attack, but it’s recommended you use Pokemon that can target Regieleki’s weaknesses instead.
Pokemon GO: Best Regieleki Raid Counters
Since Regieleki only has one weakness, Ground-type, you’ll want to assemble your party with Ground-type Pokemon. You can get away with having a high CP-Pokemon that has a move like Earthquake as their Charge Move, but it’s recommended you use purely Ground-type or Ground dual-types (ex: Water/Ground-type).

Your Fast Move should be a Ground-type attack like Mud-Slap or Mud-Shot depending on the Pokemon. The Fast Move should have a quick EPS to charge your Charge Move.
If you’re taking in a Pokemon that’s been Purified, then consider changing the Return Charge Move, as it’s a Normal-type and won’t be very useful against Regieleki. Generally, it’s preferred you take aShadow Pokemonover aPurified Pokemondue tothe Shadow Power bonus.
If youcan’t Mega Evolve your Swampert or Garchomp, don’t worry. A non-Shadow/Purified Garchomp/Swampert can work well, too.
You should use Ground-types to get STAB from the Ground-type Charge Moves, but you’ll also want them to resist Regieleki’s Electric-type moves. Of course, if it has Hyper Beam, your Ground-types won’t have any resistance to the Normal-type Charge Move.
Pokemon GO: How to Get Shiny Regieleki
If you want a Shiny Regieleki, then you’ll want tokeep battling in Regieleki Raids. Shiny Pokemon have a 1 in 20 chance of appearing in Raids. Meaning if you don’t get Shiny Regieleki on your first win, you may have to keep winning Regieleki Raidsfrom other gyms.
The difference between a regular Regieleki and a Shiny Regieleki is the screw threads. Regular Regieleki has a blue screw thread; Shiny Regieleki has a white screw thread.
