Summary
Aluminumis one of the critical components of many end-game gear and a necessaryingredient of the next tier Duraluminum. Players wondering where to find this valuable ore might have noticed that there’s never enough of it.
So naturally, finding the best spots to farm Aluminum is a big plus, more so when players are part of big clans and everybody needs to craft the best possible gear. This list will pinpoint the best locations to farm Aluminum in Dune: Awakening, considering quantity and how easily they can be turned into farming routes.
1The Pillars In Jabal Eifrit Al-Garb
Tons Of Ores, Chain Farming With Ornithopter
The Jabal Eifrit zone is one of the most difficult places to access for players jumping from the mid-game to the late game, since it requires dodging huge quicksand ponds while also avoiding the Sandworm. But once players reach this place, it’s an Ore mining feast for players looking for Aluminum and other crafting materials.
There’s a particular spot right below Pinnacle Station that players dub ‘The Pillars’, which is often only accessible with Ornithopter, and has the largest concentration of Aluminum Veins in Hagga Rift. The only problem is that if players want to chain farm them, they will need to fly, otherwise it’s going to take some time for them to get all the ores from there. They will be better by farming the Pinnacle Station outskirts and similar zones with more accessibleAluminum Ore.
2Northern Hagga Rift
Lots Of Easy-Access Nodes And Also Lots Of Hotspots On High
The northern part of Hagga Rift is also a good spot for Aluminum farming, so players building their bases there have an extra advantage, plus easy access to Erythrite Crystal mines close enough to never run out of Cobalt Paste. It’s a decent Aluminum farming spot, with tons of Ore growing in the rock formations around the north end of the Rift, though they require either climbing or the Ornithopter, and they are quite separated from each other, so chain farming is not an option here.
There’s another decent cumulus of Aluminum ores in one of the plateaus near the western side as well, and this place also offers quite alot of decent spots to build a base. If players are aiming to get tons of Aluminum Ore to rush to tier 5 gear, then it’s a good place to start. The most optimal farming route starts at Rift Hideout and, surprisingly, ends in a PoI called World’s End.
3Pinnacle Station Zone
A Moderate Amount Of Ores At Ground Level
For players following the Trade Station Questlines, once they unlock Pinnacle Station, they will be able to enjoy access to quite a lot of resources needed to advance into the late game. Aluminum Ore has a lower yield at ground level, but players can easily grab a Sandbike and roam around the Pinnacle Station zone, getting loads of it before they know it.
On the positive side, there are few enemy camps in the zone (mostly Sandflies and the occasional Slavers looking for trouble), so players can farm leisurely without fear of being shot at. If they are feeling adventurous, there are a fewspots like Southern Comms and Sentinel Citythat can be accessed with ground vehicles, and offer several farming nodes that will yield an extra amount of Aluminum Ores for refining. Plus, in Southern Comms, players can grab a free Buggy if they are lucky enough to pick it when it respawns. With a few tweaks and fixes, it can become a good vehicle for farming.
4Eastern Shield Wall
Decent Amount, But You Need To Climb For It
The Eastern Shield Wall holds tons of Aluminum Ore, and players can either chain farm it or focus on a sole spot that refreshes every 10 or 15 minutes. The thing is: they need to be able to climb high or use an Ornithopter to farm them. In the plateaus surrounding the edge of the map in the top right corner of the Eastern Shield Wall, there’s a major concentration of Aluminum Veins, and if players build a base nearby, they will never run out ofAluminum Ingot.
Although reaching this area might be difficult for players just reaching Aluminum Tier, they might be able to pull it off with lots of patience and some climbing skills. The Planetologist Skill Treeis filled with useful Perks and Techniques that will help them climb higher at less stamina cost, plus getting more Ore with each Cutteray use. Players should also remember that the higher the tier and quality of the Cutteray, the bigger the yield. The same happens for the Buggy’s Cutteray turret, but players can get a Unique Schematic for it at the Atreides Trader near Pinnacle Station, though that would require Duraluminum and other Tier 6 Mats to be crafted.
