This list has some of the most overpowered builds that are currently being used in the PvE and PvP meta. Some are great for utility, and some others have powerful synergies between their passives. Others are focused on increasing survivability and mobility to the maximum.

1Bene Gesserit Assassin

Currently, The Top Combo For PvP

Whoever thinks thatthe Bene Gesserit skill treeis only for flair should think twice before facing a Bene Gesserit Assassin in PvP. Works by combining a full Bene Gesserit skill tree with some of the best aspects of the Mentat and Swordmaster to boost the use of blades and knives to destroy opponents with a few hits.

The combination of Disruptor Pistol, Compel, Weirding Step, and Crippling Strike is a sure kill in PvP. Start by aiming at your enemy with the Disruptor Pistol, breaking their shields then, use Compel to attract and destabilize them, then use Weirding Step to close in, and Crippling Strike to apply more CC. The rest is spamming short blade attacks that will quickly dispose of your enemy. Equip these techniques for chaining kills Thrive on Danger, Dance of Blades, and Rapid Register.

2Trooper Mentat

The Most Effective Build For PvE

With the right combination of passives and skills, the Trooper Mentat can overpower most opponents at long, mid, and short range, with tons of powerful AoE skills for control, and a tremendous boost to body damage or precision damage, depending on the player’s choice. The combination of Gravity Field, Poison Mine, and Gravity Mine is one of the best Crowd Control options to deal with massive groups of NPCs. Another other meta option iscombining Assault Seeker, Explosive Grenade, and Poison Capsule.

The Trooper Mentat relies heavily on all the ranged damage bonuses from the Mentat skill tree, but players have the choice to optimize the build for headshot or body damage depending on the passives and Techniques they pick. Pick Center of Mass from Trooper for body damage, and use Scatterguns, Drillshots (Shotguns), or Disruptor (SMG) and Disruptor/Scattergun Damage. Pick Marksman from the Mentat skill tree alongside Pistol Damage and Rifle Damage for short/long range precision takedowns.

3Trooper Swordmaster

Versatile, And Ideal For Group Combat

The Trooper Swordmaster relies on initiating assaults and leading the charge whenever necessary. This build is optimized for mobility, using the Shigawire Claw to destabilize and the Knee Charge to close in for the kill. Using Disruptor SMGs to deal with shields and then Swords to destroy opponents is a good combo. Players can also increase mobility by adding Suspensor Dash and Death From Above to rain down destruction with the SMG, then using Shigawire and Dash combined with Knee Charge for some extremely effective combos.

It requires practice, but overall, this build has the potential and utility to become top of the meta in both PvE and PvP. Most of the time, enemy AI will use swarm tactics and have poor mobility, and can barely follow a highly mobile Trooper Swordmaster. That applies to PvP situations as well, as many players rely solely on one type of weapon, and having a versatile opponent in front will destabilize them.

4Assault Expert

A Monstrous Juggernaut That Blasts Everything

The Assault Expert is a Trooper combined with Bene Gesserit and Mentat, maximizing ranged damage and survivability by taking levels on passives like Vitality, Recovery, Ranged Damage, and combining them with Techniques like Center of Mass and Underslung Agility, to maximize the power of Heavy Weapons. Players should grab Flamethrowers, Lasguns, or Vulcan Gatlings, and jump into battle overcharged with Spice, the Trooper’s Energy Capsule, and the Mentat’s Shield Wall for coverage.

Pick Explosive Grenade and the Trooper’s Passive Reflexive reload to automatically reload the Heavy Weapon when throwing grenades. This takes effect only under the effect of the Spice (activated with Z), but its power is considerable, and it synergizes well with the Shield Overcharge passive from Trooper as well. The Scorchbolt is a decent weapon, since it overpenetrates shields and players can burn their targets for maximum damage output, as well as scatter pinned-down enemy players that are trying to take cover behind structures, vehicles, or Mentat shields.

5Mentat Scout

High Mobility And Sniping Skills

The Mentat Scout is a specialized Sniper that relies on the Mentat’s abilities to cause more precision (headshot) damage, andsome of the Trooper Skillsto reposition during battle and reach highspots that will allow them to snipe comfortably while the rest of the team deals with short-range opponents. Snipers are mostly ignored during large-scale battles, and that’s a dire mistake, more so if the players using this build are equipped with Thufir’s Best or Fivefinger’s Tripleshot Rifle.

Max out the following passives: Ranged Damage ( both from Mentat and Trooper), Rifle Damage, and Assassin’s Shot. Then pick the following Techniques: Marksman, and Suspensor Dash (Trooper). For abilities take: Anti-Gravity Mine from Mentat, and Energy Capsule/ Shigawire Claw from Trooper. The kit is simply the best to reach higher positions, then buff players with Energy Capsule and cause tons of hurt by sniping opponents. When the time to run comes, preemptively deploying an Anti-Gravity mine near them can generate room to counter enemies approaching from behind. But as far as players learn how to position themselves before battle, this is a fialproof build to aid in big Guild battles, especially during Spice Extractionoperations in the Deep Desert.

6Full Swordmaster

Something Simple But Effective

Bringing the hurt to the battle with a full Swordmaster build is a risky choice, but one that pays off when used correctly. Melee seems to be quickly rising in theDune: Awakeningmeta, and those who learn how to parry, dodge, and counterattack timely are seeing lots of good results in PvP. This build relies heavily on the Swordmaster’s passives and skills, especially those that buff the team and create lots of opportunities to break the opponents' defenses.

Though diving in the middle of a fully prepared group of enemies is risky, the Swordmaster has countenances like Deflection, an OP skill that basically destroys projectiles shot at players as long as they have stamina. The problem is that Stamina is also needed for a lot of other skills, like Inspiration (another OP buff skill), and the best skill to chain kills being a Swordmaster: Knee Charge. Use a Spark-Sword to break shields faster, and Light Gear to reduce stamina cost. Maximize all the Swordmaster passives and use the following Techniques: Thrive on Danger, Dance of Blades, and Reckless Lunge. For large groups of enemies, instead of Inspiration and Deflection, equip the Retaliate and Eye of the Storm abilities.
