The Spiritborn remains an agile and slippery class inDiablo 4, and it’s perfect for players who want a smooth map-clearing experience. This class isn’t as overpowered as it used to be back inVessel of Hatred’srelease, but it’s still incredibly powerful and fun to play.

In Season 9, players will get touse Horadric Spells inDiablo 4to augment their abilities. These custom spells can work wonders with the Spiritborn’s many builds, and in this guide, we’ll be going over one such build that’s designed to clear content as quickly as possible.

Diablo 4 Season 9 Spiritborn Leveling Build

The following is an Evade Spiritborn build that takes advantage of Season 9’s Horadric spells to complement our gear and chosen Legendary Aspects. We’ve chosen the Evade build for Season 9 leveling for its sheer speed, and while it’s no slouch in the endgame, players can easily transition this build intoone that uses Rakesince they both use mostly the same general stats and effects.

Notes

Accelerated Thunderspike (5/5)

Your bread and butter skill. Mainly used to make enemies Vulnerable and refresh Evade for Storm Feathers.

Measured Vortex (1/5)

Utility skill for grouping enemies. Used in conjunction with Concussive Stomp.

Measured Soar (1/5)

Your main mobility skill. Great for moving out of the way, scaling cliffs, and crossing gaps.

Reinforced Counterattack (1/5)

Grants a passive Dodge and Critical Strike Damage bonus. Activate to dodge all incoming attacks for a short duration.

Reinforced Concussive Stomp (1/5)

Handy skill used to gain Barrier and to stun elites and bosses.

Exalted Hunter (5/5)

Excellent Ultimate ability for area damage that can execute enemies. It also builds Ferocity.

This skill setup will let you fly through maps while stabbing enemies and flinging feathers along the way.Simply spam Evade while weaving in Thunderspike, then use the rest of your skills when you encounter an elite pack or a boss.

Diablo 4 Spiritborn Eagle Spirit bonus

Your main damage dealer here is actually Storm Feathers, whichonly becomes available at level 15after youequip the Eagle as your main Spirit Hall effect. Storm Feathers launch toward enemies after you Evade, and since you’ll be resetting Evade constantly with Thunderspike, you’ll be filling the screen with Storm Feathers as early as level 15.

If you want to focus solely on spamming Evade, replace Concussive Stomp with a different skill like Armored Hide or Toxic Skin. Ravager is also a fun skill to weave in between attacks.

Passives

These passives will give various damage buffs and bonus dodge chance. Upgrade these skills in any order you deem fit, but preferably, you should max all of them out.

Spend the rest of your skill points based on what you think you need. If you require more survivability against elites/bosses, then theUltimate passives should help you stay alive for longer.

Spirit Hall

Naturally, this build will use the Eagle Spirit Hall. By doing so, Evading will launch Storm Feathers that deal damage to enemies while also making them Vulnerable. Eagle Spirit Hall will also boost your crit chance for every four meters you move.

Horadric Spells

For starters, use theThunderous Particleinfusion with theCelestial Surgecatalyst bound to Vortex. This gives you some much-needed AoE damage for clearing early hordes, and it’s especially useful in Horadric Storerooms and every other area that’s packed with monsters.Cosmic Anomalyis another good catalyst option if you want something with more uptime.

As for Arcanas, pick whichever you think you need.Invigorating Helix and Volatile Crystalare good if you need more survivability.

Gear and Aspects

This build doesn’t require much in terms of itemsand Legendary Aspects, though it will definitely benefit from them. While you’re leveling up, consider getting the following:

All three of these will boost your Basic Skill’s effectiveness, and since you’re using Thunderspike a lot to refresh Evade and trigger Storm Feathers, taking these aspects is a no-brainer.

As for equipment, look for ones with the following stats:

If you get socketed weapons, insert some Topazes into them to further boost Basic Skill damage. Later on, replace these with Emeralds forcrit damage. For armor, Emeralds are also great forbonus Dexterity, but if you’re dying often, consider using Diamonds for stat boosts across the board. As always, use the right type of gem on your rings and amulets based on what element you need to resist more.

Runes

The build doesn’t really need any Runes as far as the leveling process is concerned, but if you spent some timefarming runes inDiablo 4, thenCirGaris a great choice for boosting your crit chance.

The Cem ritual rune is perfect for this build since you’ll be Evading a lot. Pair it with any invocation rune you prefer, and you’ll be good to go.
