There aren’t any bad options to pick, but you can definitely make your life a lot easier if you pick certainUmamusumecharacters with your selector.
To claim your Head Start 3-Star Voucher inUmamusume: Pretty Derby,complete the tutorialand then tap themail iconon the Home screen. Your selector ticket will be waiting for you alongside the other beginner rewards for newUmamusumeaccounts.
Once you have the ticket, open the Shop by tapping the shopping cart icon in the bottom left-corner of the Home screen. There, you should see an option forVoucher Exchange.This will bring up a menu where you can choose one of eight SSRUmumasumecharacters, including the following horse girls.
These characters are also available from normal gacha pulls, so you’ll have a chance to get them later if you don’t choose them now. They are very rare, though, so think carefully before making a decision.
Which 3-Star Umamusume Character Should You Choose?
Umamusumecan get really, really sweaty if you take it seriously, and every player will have different recommendations for the best SSR character to start with.Umamusumeis all about having fun with horse girls, though, so you should really justpick the character that you like the most. Waifus trump the meta nine times out of ten, and you’ll have way more fun if you actually like thecharacters that you’re training(shout out to Tokai Teio).
With that said, some of these horse girls are much stronger than the others.Oguri Capis the overall best choice because she has good proficiency with bothTurf and Dirt tracks, which is rare forUmamusumeat the moment. Her unique ability,Triumphant Pulse, is also one of the best in the game. It’s great for passing on to otherUmamusumecharacters via legacies once you’ve completed a Career with her. If you don’t like Oguri Cap, thenMaruzenskyandTaiki Shuttleare also great choices.
The best piece of advice for newUmamusumeplayers is to actuallysave the Head Start 3-Star Voucheruntil later down the line. This is because you can claimanother free SSR characterby completing theRelease Celebration Missionsin the Special tab of the Missions menu. It’s a random 3-star character, though, but it does pull from the same SSR pool as the Head Start 3-Star Voucher. If you use the selector ticket early on, you might end up getting a duplicate when you finish the Release Celebration missions. It’s better to have twounique 3-StarUmamusumecharactersinstead of getting a duplicate, especially for new accounts.
