Roughly 60% of these wishlists forBattlefield 6come from players who previously playedBattlefield 2042on Steam, showing that there’s potential for high player retention coming off ofthe latestBattlefieldgame. Moreover,Battlefield 6is one of the top-trending upcoming Steam games for week 30 of 2025, surpassing the likes ofMetal Gear Solid Delta: Snake Eater,EA Sports FC 26,Fate Trigger, andGrounded 2.

As Linder noted, theBattlefield 6reveal trailerattracted over 7.5 million views on YouTube as well. At the time of this writing, the reveal trailer has already surpassed 7.7 million views, showing that potentially hundreds of thousands of gamers are still watching the trailer this week. In addition, IGN’s own YouTube upload of the reveal trailer accrued more than two million views on its own.
The game’s overall Steam wishlist count is expected to grow even higher during and aftertheBattlefield 6multiplayer reveal event, which starts on July 31 at 11:30 a.m. PT / 2:30 p.m. ET on YouTube and EA’s social media channels. ABattlefield 6open beta also appears to be planned to give players the opportunity to test out some of the game’s official playlists well before launch. It’s unknown when exactly the open beta will start, however.
