Some fans have been left unhappy after a recentBattlefield 6leak revealed a controversial gameplay feature. This particularBattlefield 6leak could be bad news for those who like to play as a sniper in particular.
Over the last few months, EA has been holdingBattlefield 6playtests via Battlefield Labs, giving select players the chance to hop in and give feedback on the next entry in the series. Inevitably, this has resulted in tons of leaks, offering fans a closer look of what to expect fromBattlefield 6before its official reveal. Just recently,40 minutes ofBattlefield 6gameplaywas leaked, instantly becoming one of the most extensive looks at the game so far. While the game is undeniably impressive, there’s one aspect that many fans aren’t happy with.
A recentBattlefield 6gameplay leak was posted toReddit, and in the clip, a sniper rifle is fired, leaving behind an enormous bullet trail and giving away where the shooter is instantly. The trail is thick and remains for a few seconds, leaving the player with absolutely no place to hide. In the thread, comments were not at all happy about the feature, with one player saying they “seriously can’t stand this mechanic,” while pointing out that “scope glint was enough.” Another said that “Stealth sniping is dead,” which, for many, almost defeats the point of using asniper rifle inBattlefieldin the first place. One user was so against it, that they claimed they could “guarantee this won’t make it to the live game.”
Battlefield 6 Seems to Have Sniper Bullet Trails, and Fans Aren’t Happy
So while the community consensus on sniper bullet trails appears to be largely negative, there is one reason for fans to hold out hope. This particularBattlefield Labs buildappears to date back to May 2025, meaning it’s already two months out of date at this point. These playtests are ultimately about gathering player feedback and making changes based on that. If anything, it’s the perfect time to make mistakes like this. If Battlefield Studios is in touch with its community, then there’s every chance that sniper bullet trails won’t make it into the final version ofBattlefield 6.
Hopefully, it isn’t long before Battlefield Studios can provide some clarity on whether these sniper bullet trails are in the game.Battlefield 6’s multiplayer reveal will take place on July 31, and if there’s any sort of sniper gameplay during this event, this will absolutely be something to look out for. Fans will only know for sure when the full game releases, which, while no concrete date has been set, is rumored to be on October 10.
