October 26 will mark the second anniversary ofArk: Survival Ascendedlaunching in early access on PCbefore its preview version expanded to the Xbox Series X/S and PS5 the following month. Ever since then, theArk: Survival Evolvedremaster has been receiving regular updates, ranging from minor hotfixes to wide-ranging content drops. This newest release from Studio Wildcard belongs to the former group.
The latestArk: Survival Ascendedpatch rolled out on Friday, June 27, bumping the game’s version number up to 67.49 and delivering a slate of bug fixes. The update tackles issues focused on milestone progression, visual glitches, and creature behavior, among other aspects of the popular MMOsurvival crafting game.
Among the bugs tackled by the update are several issues affecting in-game progression, including milestones related toArk: Survival Ascendedboss fights, gunpowder crafting, and silica pearls. Some of these newly patched problems were introduced in the massive 67.00 update, which introduced a new version of the Ragnarok map to the early access remaster on June 19. For instance, large beaver dams will now properly count toward looting milestones on the Ragnarok map. On a similar note, Astraeos' Astral variants will now count toward Alpha creature Milestone progression, as they were intended to from the outset.
Other fixes arriving as part of the newArk: Survival Ascendedpatch include a solution for a bug that caused shoulder pets to turn invisible, as well as revised animations for swimming creatures. Instances where newly hatched dinosaurs appear stuck or show incorrect level data have been eliminated as part of this release. Studio Wildcard also patched some selective problems with the paint preview system, as well as functionality issues related to the Dino Export feature.
