SomeXboxplayers have recently experienced a weird glitch, which causes their consoles to ask them to update all of their installed games. The issue was reported by multipleXboxowners, and it seems somewhat widespread, but fortunately, it’s also easy to fix.

TheXbox Series X/S was releasedin 2020, selling over 30 million units since then. During this time, Microsoft has provided frequent updates for the platform. A few times, however, console updates have caused issues for gamers.

Now, multiple players are reporting that they have notifications telling them to update all of their Xbox games. Not knowing how to proceed, some of thesegamers went to social mediain search of answers. According to most gamers who had the issue, the best way to deal with the situation is to restart the console, which should fix the problem. In case this method does not fix the issue, some gamers suggested trying to hit the “Update” button, which allegedly causes all the updates to be completed almost instantly, and every game starts working as normal. In the comments of these posts, gamers have speculated why this could be happening, as some folks believe that Microsoft could have sent out an update to validate the licenses of installed games, which could explain why these updates are so quick and widespread. Microsoft has not publicly commented on the issue at the time of this report.

Gamers Are Confused With New Xbox Issue

Unfortunately, this is not the first time that Xbox gamers have had unexpected problems in July. Last week, for example,Xbox Party Chat and other online features stopped workingfor a while, likely due to outages on the Xbox Network.

Microsoft is generally quick to fix these problems, though, and is continuously putting out new updates to improve the experience of Xbox owners. A few months ago,Xbox made some helpful UI changes, giving players more control over how their content is displayed on the screen.

Other Xbox updates can be hit and miss, though, with some not being liked by the community. Last month,Xbox added the new Game Hubs feature, which shows information about the title when clicking on it on the Home screen, instead of allowing gamers to play it immediately. The new feature was not well-received by many players, as it was an extra step before playing games.
