There have been rumors of a 2028 release, but it is unlikely to be true. A-1 Pictures knows Solo Leveling is a global phenomenon, and millions of fans are waiting for the third season. If the studio were to release another season after three years, it would be detrimental to the anime’s overall popularity.
In an industry where new anime are announced every week, it’s unwise to release a new season after such a long time. Already most anime fans have gottenover the hype of Solo LevelingSeason 2 because there are many excellent titles to watch. From the Summer 2025 line-up, fans can choose from Lord of Mysteries, Takopi’s Original Sin, Gachiakuta, The Fragrant Flower Blooms with Dignity, etc. These are just some popular names from the current season, and the Fall 2025 titles are yet to come.

As previously stated, Solo Leveling has not announced a third season, so guessing a release date is rather difficult, as it depends on many factors. An episode can take months to produce, so the complete season might be finished in several years.If A-1 Pictures doesn’t have enoughstaff, it will take longer to complete the new season.
If the studio is facing no issues, then it is plausible to assume that Solo Leveling Season 3 will be announced at Jump Festa 2026, as that’s generally when all the big reveals are saved for. If, and it’s a big if, the third season is confirmed at Jump Festa, then Solo Leveling could make a return in late 2026 or early 2027. Either of these dates will ensure that Solo Leveling’s popularity won’t decline and fans will be just as interested.
Solo Leveling fans have other projects to look forward to, including the new video game and the live-action film. While they may not be as good as the anime, it’s still better than having no content at all.
