While many players still enjoy it or look back fondly upon it, there have certainly been some good changes made to the series since its launch.
On Reddit, user idkwheretfiam shared their frustration with a new villager that’s moving in after they chose to put their house in a narrow path. A shared image of the screen shows their player character standing in front of the new construction, which has been set right in the middle of a narrow path, pinned in by a wall on one side and a river on the other. To make matters worse, the map indicates that the player’s house is to the south of the new construction, and due to it being bordered by a river, the newAnimal Crossingvillager homeis directly in the path of the player getting to the only river bridge to get to the main area of the town.
Animal Crossing: New Horizons Made Changes for the Better
Numerous fans have sympathized with the player, with several sharing their own similar frustrations with new villagers. One of the most common complaints is having random villager homes set down in the middle of valued gardens, destroying flowers and perfect trees, or simply settling down too close to the player’s own home. Players have expressed gratitude for how the follow-up game changed the way the system works, allowing players to determine where an incomingNew Horizonsvillager movesin to.New Leafvillager plot locations, on the other hand, were largely luck of the draw, and plenty of players seem to have experienced misfortune when a new villager decided to move in.
WhileNew Leafplayers don’t have the option of usingAnimal Crossing: New Horizon’s terraforming feature, idkwheretfiam should be able to at least add another bridge to make their pathing easier following the introduction of this new neighbor. Unfortunately, there aren’t any guaranteed methods for getting rid of a villager once they’ve moved in, so they could end up waiting some time for this one to leave. If they choose to encourage them to leave, with any luck, the next villager to move in won’t choose an even worse spot to set their home on.
