Popular female streamer Amouranth has officially announced her return toTwitchafter making a lot of money on Kick. The streaming star first joinedTwitch’s rival Kick in June 2023 and quickly became one of the platform’s top creators.
Kick launched in late 2022 with the goal of challenging Twitch’s strong position in the streaming world, and one of its main ways to attract viewers was by offering huge contracts to big-name streamers from other platforms. A well-known example wasKick’s attention-grabbing deal with xQc, said to be worth between $70 and $100 million. Amouranth, with her huge Twitch following of over 6 million, soon followed and signed with Kick just days after xQc. While the exact details of Amouranth’s deal were never shared, she said the partnership had greatly increased her earnings, saying it had basically “doubled” her income.
On June 19, nearly two years after signing her big deal with Kick, Amouranth announced she was returning to Twitch. She shared the news with a creative video posted on Twitter, showing herself getting gas at a 7-Eleven while talking on the phone. After finishing at the pump, popular streamer Amouranthdrives off in a green car with a “Kick Com” license plate. The video then cuts to a “$38 million later” screen, before the car changes from green to Twitch’s well-known purple, showing her return. The mention of $38 million quickly fueled speculation that Amouranth may have earned around $19 million annually during her Kick tenure.
Amouranth Announces Twitch Comeback
However, Amouranth later deleted that version of the video and posted a nearly identical one without mentioning the money. It’s not clear why she chose to remove the money hint, as her time with Kick seemed to be good.Amouranth previously praised Kick for its openness, transparent communication, and willingness to engage creators directly in shaping its future. In comparison, she criticized Twitch, saying that even though she was one of its top female streamers, the platform never publicly acknowledged or recognized her contributions.
Even though Twitch has long been her main platform, Amouranth has faced multiple bans there, something that never happened while she was on Kick, which is known for having looser rules compared to the Amazon-owned platform. When it comes to money, Kick continues to make headlines with big payouts. For example,Asmongold recently revealed that he made more from just two Kick streamsthan he usually makes in a whole month on Twitch, surprising many in the streaming world.
