While the trip through the facility is relatively short, the game rewards players who take the time to explore it with secret lore devices and areas that could easily be missed if you’re just sticking to completing the story. So, here are all the missable secret areas inFNAF: Secret of the Mimicthat you may have missed.
Storyteller Showroom
The Storyteller Showroom is one of the major secret areas players can discover inFNAF: Secret of the Mimic. This area can be accessedafter completing the Big Top Showroom sectionand returning to the area later.
After reaching the area, restore the power through the power tile puzzle on the wall outside the showroom. This will allow you to replay the carnival games, but you’ll need toplay the Ball Toss gamein particular. Start the game and knock at least the first two teeth in each row to create enough space to crawl through. Once you’re in the second round, repeat the process until you’ve made a crawl space through the clown cardboard cutout.
Crouch and walk through the space and open the door to the back. Following the path on the left andactivating the generatorwill lead you to the Storyteller Showroom.
There’s a similar ball toss game that players can discover in the Warehouse by taking the bus ride to the warehouse catwalk. Similarly, knock the clown’s teeth and enter the vent behind it to reach a giftbox collectible.
Area Behind Jackie’s Box
Jackie is one of the first forms of Mimic you’ll encounter in the game. However, if you return to thelocation where Jackie’s box previously was, there will be a hole inside the large giftbox in the middle. The hole connects to a vent that will lead you to a hallway in the back.
The Mimic will appear in the hallway, so you’ll have to firstget the code from the monitorbehind the shelves. While evading the Mimic, make your way down the hallway and then go right. There will be a locked door that can beunlocked using the code 0434 on the keypad. Inside, you’ll find a giftbox collectible lying on the desk.
Players can also flip the two switches on the wall to reactivate the elevator that connects the main hallway and Jackie’s area.
Retail Showroom Basement
The Retail Showroom isn’t particularly a hidden location, as it can be discovered by players early on in the game as they head to the second floor balcony toretrieve the elevator repair training cassette. However, the door requires Executive permission, which isn’t obtained until the end of the game. So, it’s not a surprise that most of the players will just forget about this place entirely.
It’s worth visiting the Retail Showroom area as there’s an interesting puzzle waiting for you inside, alongside a secret boss fight in its basement. First, players have to find the code for the door in the Retail Showroom by deciphering the emails starting with “Retail” and figuring out the codes from the monitor in certain locations. Thecode for the Retail Showroom door is 80625, for players who just want to take a shortcut.
There’s an elevator behind the door that will take players into the Retail Showroom’s basement, wherethey’ll encounter the Moon animatronic(not confirmed if it’s a mascot costume or an animatronic). Players will need to traverse the area to find four power tiles, plug them into the main circuit and complete the power puzzle to getDavid’s Ball collectible.
Iconic FNAF Pizzeria Location
For players who’ve put down the game after getting the default ending, they’remissing out on a lot of vital lore elementsand a few areas that are part of the alternative ending. Towards the end of the game, the players will need to choose whether tohand the Data Diver to the Dispatcher or run the Parachute.exe program.
Refuse to hand over the Mimic schematics to the Dispatcher and choose to run the Parachute.exe program will take players tothe FNAF 1 pizzeria location, or at least a replica of it. Players will need to escape the mimic in this area, and reach Edwin’s house to get the alternative ending toFNAF: Secret of the Mimic.
Hidden Mimic Workshop
There’s a very well-hidden Edwin’s workshop where he used to work on the Mimic inside the game. Players can get to this area during the White Tiger Rock boss fight. After the first phase, you’ll arrive in a room with a lever and two pathways. Proceed as normal and grab the Star Orphan Night Light at the back of the room.
Now, instead of following the arrows on the floor, immediately turn back and walk in the direction of the lever, which will be in the center of the room. Once you may spot the lever behind a cage, turn left and follow along the wall until you find a small space leading to an open vent. Head inside the vent to arrive at Edwin’s secret workshop, which also contains a voice log.
White Tiger Rock will be constantly following you. So, it’s best not to look at it for too long, avert your eyes, and wait for it to de-spawn before progressing forward.
Welcome Showroom Catwalk
When it’s time to upgrade the Data Diver permission to executive, players will need to reach the Admin Wing. However, before stepping onto the lift and descending to the Admin Wing’s shutter, players will pass through a hallway with several shutters leading to different areas in the facility.
Players can also reach this area through the warehouse section by crouch walking under the boarded-up area, located towards the right of the bus ride. After getting inside, enter through the unmarked shutters and take the platform lift to the upper floor. On your way, you’ll also find asecret carnival game of shooting gallerythat you play by getting a ball gun from the Big Top’s Showroom. Simply store the gun inside the inventory tube and retrieve it right next to the secret game.
Open up the shutter labeled Welcome Showroomto reach the catwalk area of the welcome showroom. There are a few animatronics hanging here, but players can grab the giftbox on the right to add to their collection.
